BOTWAWKI Revised Thread

Sorry to jump the thread to the Next page, but I have a question for yall:

If I were to run a NES similar to this one, but set in the Dies the Fire Universe (except for that stupid magic stuff) would people be interested enough to play?

Also: EQ, how ya doin?

I mean, it could be interesting but I'ma also be honest, I only made it like 30 pages into dies the fire. I liked the Draka stories but I don't think that S.M. Sterling is very entertaining outside of that. Especially considering that other than that the books of his I read (dies the fire and also another 40 or so pages of that stupid time travel series that my dad seemed to like) were all caught up in this idea of technology and technical knowhow minus the existing infrastructure and I didn't find the core concept compelling.

I imagine EQ is caught up in a vicious videogame lust, I pray that the Gods grant him safety and serenity on his runthrough that he may be returned to us.

Waitin' for EQ's glorious return among us, the lesser people.

And I know a little about Fallout universe. I know nothing about dies in the fire universe...

Quick blurb about how you would see it running for us that have not read it?

The dies the fire setting is one in which some power or another change (seemingly on a case by case basis) many of the laws of Physics, causing much "Higher" technology to not work (Electrical devices, Gunpowder, dangerous chemical reactions, steam power) As such, society collapses, and small bands try to survive.

I'd try to run it rather similarly to this NES, with players having to balance Population and Food production... Or try to capitalize on another aspect with which to survive.

Working on the update even now folks, no worries, it be acoming.

All right, update's mostly done, but I'm stuck thinking of some Overseer's Challenges. Going to switch over to something else momentarily while I wait for inspiration to hit.

Also, Tecknojock, I just got a change to look at the map, and saw that you named my settlement in Camden Camden... It should be Battleship City.

Aside for that, looks as good as always

I'll fix it on the update. It's likely that Gmaps glitched when I saved.

I know nothing about the dies with fire universe, but if your running it similar to this, i may join if I can get a brief synopsis of the scenario of which I find myself in.

Glad to hear progress is being made EQ :)

Sorry for the delays to date. I'm now working 2 and a half jobs and have been brain dead for most of the weekend. Thanks to my newfound employment at Harry Potter's Wizarding World in Universal Studios, I was working like crazy over the past week and weekend. My current schedule allows for very little besides working and sleeping. I'm trying to get the update done, but it's slow going.
