BOTWAWKI Revised Thread

I've had no time in the past two weeks to work on the update, so let's lay it out for ya'll and majority can decide:

At the moment I work a 30 hour day job doing data entry for a law enforcement agency. I work a 30-40 hour night job watching security cameras at Universal. That leaves me with about 10-20 hours a week for sleeping, eating, and fun. Fortunately, this set of circumstances is temporary and I'm cutting back a few hours of data entry. Unfortunately, this schedule isn't going to clear up until my Universal job ends at the end of July.

I'm not allowed to work on NES stuff at my day job, and while Universal doesn't really care that much what we do at work, they lack Microsoft Office on their computers, preventing me from updating there.

Last thing: this month at some unknown point I will be moving to a new residence accompanied by the internet lack of access that comes with such an endeavor.

In summary: If this update ever gets done, it won't be done until some point in July if I'm lucky. Therefore I leave the following options to ya'll:

1. Wait until July/August for the next update and we'll attempt to continue as usual from there.

OR

2. I can write up a quite conclusion to the NES here, depicting what I assume would happen to the various factions based on what we've had so far. As a bonus, I can probably pull of a political map as well. Fortunately, as I don't have to use any of my notes and can write in WordPad, I could actually do this with some speed.

I leave the choice up to ya'll from here, and I'll abide by the majority vote.

July/August vote from me, old boy. There is still so much fun to be had!

I vote for option 2 considering there is no guarantee this NES will actually continue after your schedule clears up. In that case it's better to at least have an ending to our own fallout universe. And if you do find the time later in the year to revive BOTWAWKI, you can certainly do that.

Let's allow patience to prove why it is commonly thought to be a virtue. We will undoubtedly reap great rewards if we wait. We stand to have so much fun, and at the cost of only a couple months. I look forward to the return in July/August.
So count this as a vote to wait. I'm trusting you on this one, EQ. :P

Voting to wait as well, though I am *very* interested to see your projections of what would happen, given the current state of the NES. Like, a map or whatever would be fascinating, just based on current trends; it'd be a great way for people to get some feedback on their play.

I'd vote for 1. Not that I have much of a vote, having only joined just now. :p

Seconded

Unfortunately I can't really do a projection without spoiling some things that are coming. Simply take a look at the stats to see what I mean on that. I guess we'll just wait then, as that seems the majority vote. I'll try to find time to get some things done before August, maybe we'll be able to squeeze a few updates out at some point.

I would like to add one last thing: it is entirely possible that my situation will change at some point this month. I've got feelers out for a real job, and if I was to go down to a regular work week, I promise that we'll try and get back to a regular updating schedule. Despite this, I have been predominantly disappointed since leaving college when it comes to real jobs, so we'll just go with the probability that I'll be working 2 crappy jobs instead for the rest of the summer.

Don't the universal computers have any Internet access? Why not do it all in google docs... Or even in PMs on here?

I would much prefer to wait, this NES is just getting going for me, but it is very exciting already.

@Abbadon. Can't do it at work, need excel and access to load up my notes and data.

That's a great shame. Oh well, work hard, and hope this comes back when the time comes. :)
