BOTWAWKI Revised Thread

Dag. I was some good interaction between my faction and Vault 100. Nothing like two competing cults.

Behold... The Liberty Commonwealth Flag!

Sucks a bit, but I think it's the best I could do, given that my drawing ability is quite bad.

Hey, teknojock, narwhal city is on the island of manhattan, not where you've placed it. (i imagined myself somewhere near the Intrepid air and space museum (One of those cruise ship piers, I think)

(Sorry, I know it's been a while, but I just managed to get to see your map well. Thanks :) )

Really? I thought it was the USS Narwhal docked in the harbor.

Thomas and Milarqui I'll fix the map sometime tomorrow after I finish both my papers, I keep getting distracted as it is. I won't change any nation names until Eq does though.

is there a USS narwhal currently docked there? huh... who knew. Yeah, that'd be a pure coincidence. before the war, my submarine was a top of the line sub, but the captain realized that they'd be targeted during the war, if it came to a nuclear war, so, most of the crew smuggled their families aboard, and, once the order came, launched their missiles, and endeavored to disappear... which they successfully did, in no small part because the govt was gone. They could have lasted underwater for generations, but the people got more and more desperate to see the sun, and so they settled in New York. (The sub itself was damaged in the harbor, scraping against sunken wrecks, and so is stuck in the harbor now.)

I don't know if there is or not, but EQ had your capital labeled "Capitol: USS Narwhal (New York City Harbor, New York, USA; Urban Ruin)" So I put your marker on the harbor.

Alright Milarqui your flag has been added to the map

Thomas I'm leaving the marker unchanged unless EQ changes the location in the faction section.

Tecknojock. I've spoken with EQ: I asked him specifically where I was, and he said "I don't care, somewhere on the island of manhattan." That, plus my origin story (in the first thread) clearly state where I am...

Intrepid museum? *googles*
Lol, this is neat... btw., which class of ships is it the US uses adjectives for? I thought aircraft carriers were proper nouns (or maybe this norm came about later)?
Anyway don't worry yourself if you don't know, I just thought u might since u knew about the museum. ^_^ For half a second I half thought you were gonna fight a museum faction. :'D

All right, first of all this is the 48 hour warning for orders for the update. Now, the rest of this post is very important, so don't drop the ball here and lose your attention!

Now, thanks to the past few updates, it's become clear to me that a slight revision needs to be made to the ruleset, in a manner which I believe will improve things overall. As of this next update I'll be adding in Scrap Parts, a new stat which represents materials able to be used for construction and so forth. This can represent anything from tin cans to steel sheets. Now, I have been using Tech Parts for construction materials recently, but let's clarify the difference. Scrap Parts are essentially raw materials, while Tech Parts are still functioning relics from the pre-war era. Based on this, from here on out, Tech parts will be harder to obtain and Scrap Parts will become the easiest to obtain of everything. This is due to the fact that scrap parts pretty much is anything, and the only place where you'll have hard time finding any would be in the middle of a desert. I will warn you though, that Scrap Parts will take up space in the total amount of stuff your people collect, so be sure to mention in your orders that you specifically want to collect Scrap over food or water.

Now, the Scrap Parts will now be requisite for one very important thing: building settlements. A new settlement will require 1000 Scrap Parts to build. While this seems like a lot at the moment, seeing as scrap parts are literally lying around, this should be fairly easy to pull off. Also to be provided with this update will be a quick reference guide to expenses for the more popularly requested constructions that players have made this NES. This will also make this nice and standardized, particularly when it comes to water purifiers and radio towers.

Sorry EQ, as the RNGod seems to hate me, and I have not have a result of my Referendum yet, and the rest of today and tomarrow is booked, I cannot send orders.

Hey,
