All right, first of all this is the 48 hour warning for orders for the update. Now, the rest of this post is very important, so don't drop the ball here and lose your attention!
Now, thanks to the past few updates, it's become clear to me that a slight revision needs to be made to the ruleset, in a manner which I believe will improve things overall. As of this next update I'll be adding in Scrap Parts, a new stat which represents materials able to be used for construction and so forth. This can represent anything from tin cans to steel sheets. Now, I have been using Tech Parts for construction materials recently, but let's clarify the difference. Scrap Parts are essentially raw materials, while Tech Parts are still functioning relics from the pre-war era. Based on this, from here on out, Tech parts will be harder to obtain and Scrap Parts will become the easiest to obtain of everything. This is due to the fact that scrap parts pretty much is anything, and the only place where you'll have hard time finding any would be in the middle of a desert. I will warn you though, that Scrap Parts will take up space in the total amount of stuff your people collect, so be sure to mention in your orders that you specifically want to collect Scrap over food or water.
Now, the Scrap Parts will now be requisite for one very important thing: building settlements. A new settlement will require 1000 Scrap Parts to build. While this seems like a lot at the moment, seeing as scrap parts are literally lying around, this should be fairly easy to pull off. Also to be provided with this update will be a quick reference guide to expenses for the more popularly requested constructions that players have made this NES. This will also make this nice and standardized, particularly when it comes to water purifiers and radio towers.
