Yes, the textures have that tendency. I remember that Chamaedrys had syntax that allowed generic Renaissance art to Meso-American, and there were no issues. Then again, the generic files are "packed", so they might not even be capable of that.
I think you misunderstand me. It's perfectly possible to have Renaissance buildings with the proper graphics in the Industrial Era. That's a case of indicating a "primary" texture with the iBatchGroup modifier (putting a "0" in this codeline), and a "secondary" texture (putting a "1" in the codeline).
What the problem would be is to have 3 or more citysets linked to the same artstyle.
Someday I have to test this a bit more, but the workload is getting full again.
Second, do you think you can convert to the modular mod format?
&
I've been promoting your mod being encorporated into several other really great mods such as Genetic Age Geomodder, maybe you should think of turning it into a module mod.
Parts of it can be converted to modular format, but I've read in Kael's modding manual for BtS that the main xml files (Civ4CityLSystem.xml and probably Civ4PlotLSystem.xml files) in my mod can't be put in modules. I suppose this is because they work directly with the graphics engine.
Also, the ethnic unit xml in this mod comes from White Rabbit, unaltered. These could be put in modular format but they contain (at this stage) only what Firaxis would have implemented if they had the time to review all those ethnic units.
The screenshots look really good. Certain units already have some ethnically diverse graphics in BtS, like the warrior and settler. For which units did you make any? Is there a complete list with all the 'features' somewhere?
As said above, the ethnic units at this stage are only the ones which came with your BtS disc, except for the settlers. I think White Rabbit put bigger 'families' in the unit but I haven't had time to see this for myself.
I don't think there's a single complete list of the features included. There's era-based fishing boats from Sepamu92 (early, medieval, industrial and modern), ethnic citystyles (my doing) for 11 different artstyles , 4 buildings (granary, forge, colosseum and aquaduct) use modern graphics from the industrial/modern era onwards and of course the EDU-mod from White Rabbit which activates all the ethnic unit art that came with the BtS disc.
