C3C PBEM : "Nazca" - MesoAmerica scenario-based PBEM (level : newbees-medium)

The Olmecs Final city will fall the next turn. I lost a few units for no gain this turn.
@Salte. In my Aussie game, I have two more cities around my capital than you do. I'll provide a Minimap for you to show my point. This game has gone just like the Aussie game that i am playing, with me as the Mayans.

As the game might be approaching a more tense period I came to think of a couple of questions about PBEM in-game etiquette (if such a thing exists):
1)If two players agree to some sort of mutual protection pact or a military alliance, do they have to make the deal 'official' (make other players aware of it)?
2)Do they have to make the agreement in the game (in the diplo screen) or can they just strike a deal via email (and not bother with the in game diplomacy)?
3)Can deals be made that dont reflect what's happening in the game (i.e. two players agree to a peace treaty via email but remain at war in the game to perhaps fool other players etc.)

1. You do not have to make it know as long as it will not be shown on screen. I.e. You can make an agreement with another player to allow them to roam you lands without actually agreeing with a ROP, but if you are to have a ROP then you must do so via the game.
2. You always make the deals via email first then you make it offical by doing it via the diplomacy screen.
3. NO! That is a big :nono:

Thanks for clearing that up classical_hero.
qummik: I have no idea, maybe you should try to draw them out of with some workers or settlers for them to kill ;)

Our war against the Toltec have slowed down somewhat, but we hope to capture another one of their cities in the next couple of turns.
