Can you identify what these world maps represent?

on #4)

I can't figure out what could be close(st) to my first suggestion.
Next things that come to mind are:
- job satisfaction (altough that can't be it)
- no. of workers in governmental jobs per total work force

That probably plays its part too!

BTW - On map 4, green is highest ranked and brown is lowest.

So, USA, much of Africa and Russia are all trailing the rest of the world by a considerable margin and those northern Latin American countries, along with South East Asia are blazing a trail.

I know I'm on a wild goose's chase here, but could it be:

no. of people playing master of magic without proper equipment per no. people playing master of magic with proper equipment

I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that you're actually getting colder now, not hotter.

As another clue, there is some correlation with map No. 1 in terms of factors going in, if not results. Bearing in mind this, as well as Aaglo's first guess, should lead you to it.

Map 4

Greenland / afganistan and some african country /middle east country have grey colour. What is common. Unnatuarl deaths or death by violence. Anarchy ?/stable government . Territory disputes? .

Ok the other countries with grey colour are iraq / North korea /somalia etc . Hmm democracy levels/ people 's power in politics .

electricty/power per capita?.

You'll be happy to know that the power is ON in Iraq, thank you.

Hmmmmm......would #4 be the the amount of CO2 produced measured against the standards set by the Kyoto for each country? Percentage of people per country that believe in anthropogenic global warming?

TELL US!!!!! ;)

Arg, ok, so far we know that

(a) it has to do with government dissatisfaction and/or public opinion.
(b) it is linked, or has similar factors as per capita global emissions...
(c) The US, Russia, and most of africa are ranked lowest, while Indonesia, and central america are rated highest.
(d) we have no info on greenland, Iraq, Afghanistan, or Somalia....

Hmmmm...perhaps access to public transit, or something of that nature...?
