Capto Iugulum Background Thread

Probably Free Republic, but I'll hold off for now.

Also, I added in the Colorado River War into the Wiki, making it I believe the first War to have its own article :) I would invite Azale to add in some contributions of his own!

. The gist of my argument against your name is that a flag is supposed to be developed based on the nation. The nation isn't supposed to be developed based on a flag.

Can I just rename it California? :<

This is just another reason why Crezth may be the most competent player the former USA had since it collapsed... and he sided with the Russians... :twitch:

EDIT: Well, scratch this. UPRA has been in good hands for a while.

And I probably should add that I have nothing against the people who've played USA nations, I just don't like how many of them have handled it (and seeing as how it's open season on how I manage Britain, I don't have any problem saying I don't approve of the way others handle their nations).

I LIKE BEARS OK JEEZ :/

I mean seriously though, the Bear means more than just the flag. Its a way of life

Brazil lives the way of man. We take a gun and shoot the bear.

Much fleets wow

All of these are true except the Pope one. Literally much fleets wow.

Brazil does have many plains.

Alternatively, Brazil does take many liberties.

I had one for Scandinavia somewhere.

Britain doesn't say enough mockable things, Germany doesn't say anything (seriously is Nintz even still playing?), and nobody else has the sheer levels of pretension that Brazil displays.

Do one for Jacksonia :3

Russia can be rather understatedly pretentious, although you are right that with the exception of various proletarist entities, no state is as forthrightly abrasive as Brazil in proclaiming its virtue (and foreign policy) to the world.

Now, I wouldn't say thats entirely true.

 , firstly, before I read the quotations I thought the bear one was for Russia (the Russian bear), secondly, the errors in the papal satire are of course the following.

~ "liberals are going to hell" (never said that, and that statement has theological problems)
~ "No temporal responsibilities (the Pope rules a state, and has involved himself in temporal politics many times, which empirically disproves this statement)
~ girls are icky (just no)
~ much moralism (the Papal States is not a moralist state, and the Church itself is not run on moralist lines)
~ Holy Hat (its a sacred hat, not a holy one)

Many inaccuracies
such complaint

wow

Most of it was a joke based on things you said. The many enciclicals against liberalism translated to Doge-speak come out as Lieberals go to hell, because the complexities of the CI Papacy's attitude towards Liberalism is hard to fit in 20 characters.

Re: girls are icky, that was a joke based on the papacy's support of Brazil's moves to get women out of the workplace and back into the home. It is, as is known in the industry, a joke.

BONUS: one from the archives. Many yeras past.
