To: Spain
From: Portugal
Obviously your navy is the most superior in all the world and our is not that great, we wish to ask that you pass on some of your naval knowledge to our people so that we don't have another loss like we just had. Would you be willing to pass some of that knowledge onto us?
To: Kingdom of Portugal
From: Empire of Holy Spain
Your help in this hard war against the Protestant Alliance shall never be forgotten. Some of our best engineers will travel to your lands so that they may learn of this new technology.
To: Aztec Empire
From: Empire of Holy Spain
Your behaviour must end now. You have killed Spanish people without cause. You have killed missionaries without cause. You have enslaved our people. This is your only chance: release our people right now and open your borders or suffer the wrath of God.
To: Korea
From: Empire of Holy Spain
Your behaviour must end. You have killed the Catholics of your nation for some psycothic reason. Desist on your murderous behaviour and allow Christians to worship God freely, or you shall see what happens to the enemies of God.
To: Kingdom of Sweden, Republic of the Netherlands, United Kingdom
From: Empire of Holy Spain
As time passes, you must have surely noticed how the size of your folly increases, for not only you have lost many battles, but you have also lost much land, and the superiority of our armies and navies is unquestionable.
The Emperor could have demanded that the war went on, and have our soldiers fight until you lost everything besides your homelands. However, the Emperor, magnanimous as he is, is willing to offer your nations peace, a just peace to end this war.
For this, Carlos V, Emperor of Holy Spain and all of its colonies, wishes to offer your nations the following peace treaty:
- Spain will leave the Catholic League and return the British West Indies, the Dutch West Indies and Jamaica to its owners.
- The United Kingdom will cede to Spain its possessions of Bermuda and Bahamas and renounce to them, as well as return the Spanish possessions in India and pay 20 EP.
- The Republic of the Netherlands will pay 30 EP in reparations.
- The Kingdom of Sweden will pay 20 EP in reparations, as well as open their markets to Spain.
Let it be known that we could have asked for much more, but that the Emperor's compassion is also part of his might, and thus he was willing to accept these lenient terms. Should any of you choose to continue the fight, the Emperor also wishes to make it known that we are willing to sign a separate peace with those nations that wish to stop the fight.
Yours faithfully,
Don Francisco de Paula Martínez de la Rosa
Presidente del Consejo de Ministros de Su Majestad el Emperador Carlos V
