Capto Iugulum

Ecuador sells state owned companies to foreign investors. Invest in Ecuador!

OOC: It might be best to do that after your elections, as right now that is very, very out of character for a Proletarist Dictatorship. It is, however, in-character for a post-Proletarist nation cutting ties with its past.

ooc: Actually I am doing what China and the Soviet Union did in their later years. Also I am not giving all companies. Only those who damage the income of my nation. I am keeping the others.

OOC: Brazil == Russia?

:lmao: at Jon Stewart's face.

OOC: For all we know, Ecuador will accept the payments, bankrupt the sold companies/revoake their charters, pocket the change, confiscate the materiel and start new ones. Quite a way to strike against the Bourgeoise.

EDIT: Here is a tip Chrisos. Imagine every nation is playing with your mindset. Scared? Good, now try to work with them to gain advantages for your nation. Not scared? Good, by then you know you are a super power.

OOC: Also a good way to get a bunch of angry companies to get foreign governments to come in to enforce proper remuneration. You have to be kind of subtle with these things when you're not a world-straddling superpower.

First and foremost: It's now QUIET TIME for everyone in South America. Everyone south fo Panama is now in time out. Christos, I'm going to review your orders, and see what you're doing, and at the moment, there's just too many things wrong with what you're saying, that I'm not going to dedicate the next hour of my life to responding to you. So for now, along with Blue Bacon, theDright, and luckymoose, it's time to be silent and send in orders or otherwise stop polluting the thread with confusion and contradictory diplomacy.

For the purposes of everyone concerned:

OOC SUMMARY

I'm instituting a new rule, retroactively applied. Unless conducted through me, any diplomacy done by a new player before they have the first update in which they sent in orders, is hereby invalid. Therefore, any diplomacy done by Blue Bacon, christos200, and Eliteofwarman08 is hereby NOT APPLICABLE for this update. Act accordingly. This is not meant as a condemnation of all three of the above listed players.

Also, technically, there's no law saying here that proletarists HAVE to be atheist. Different history, and it is allowed to change things to suit with a new ideology.

Subject: The Panama Canal

In order to clarify, at this time, all shipping excepting that of the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Brazil going through the Panama Canal are subject to regular Colombian tariffs and taxes. Warships larger than light cruisers are prohibited from usage, and we will also not tolerate territories on our soil being used for aggressive action in international waters, regardless whether they are our allies or not. Passage is allowed providing that the registered government of the craft is recognized as a legitimate regime by the Colombian state.

We agree to your proposed treaties of extradition.

NPC me please.

The hardworking, ethical tenets of Christianity inform the devoted and laborious struggle of all proletarians. Who is the most ancient proletarist, except Jesus, who bid his followers give to the poor, and said that it is harder for a camel to traverse the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven?

It is the point of view of Vinland that Proletarism is entirely compatible with the Bible. While not all Proletarists act within the margins of the bible, there certainly are a great many who do so, and it is entirely incorrect to describe the movement as either religious or irreligious.

How sad it is that the hard work and legitimate investments of other nations, respected even in after times of war, are taken by pathetic, barbaric thieves.

This is the year the Grand Republic of Florida drafts a constitution for our nation to bring peace, democracy, and freedom to our people. We invite international observers to see for themselves so that they know that the process was undergone legitimately, sincerely, and without underhanded grabs for power by Governor Jeeter. We never want to feel tyranny in our lands again, and this convention shall be a proud moment in our history. We invite the world to partake.

The Emperor had hoped that Colombia would remember who invested in the building of the Canal which now enables them to pursue a prosperous life. We had not forgotten and, you may be rest assured, we will not forget your answer.

We are very happy to hear that democracy and freedom is being protected in your lands while Proletarian regimes are spreading so rampantly in this world.

The lands on which that canal was built were stolen. They never belonged to the tyrannical regime in Washington D.C. They are now in the hands of democracy and shall not be dictated to by Japan or Florida. Any attempts against our ally will be met in kind. The canal is now and forever Colombian.
