Now it's time for EQ's Movie Break. Stop reading this, RIGHT NOW, and go see the Avengers. There has never been anything like it in theaters before, and it is movie history in the making. Failing to see this movie will be missing out a landmark in film, as well as perhaps one of the finest action movies of all time. It is the equal, if not marginally superior, to the Dark Knight (though that may be debatable after multiple viewings of the Avengers). See this movie, it's well worth the $8-$15 you may pay for it.

@Lord Iggy You are correct in all your statements, though I hope I left a bit of wiggle room for whatever course you do decide to pursue.

Saw it yesterday, definitely the best I've seen this year, if not in all time.

This is the 48 hour warning to get those orders in!

We wish to send you this message in order to make sure that you remember that Spanish ships will be escorting yours while you pass through or nearby Spanish waters. Also a reminder that they should strive to not deviate from their path towards SicilyNaples and the Roman Empire, as such moves would be considered suspicious. We will, however, not act through violence against your ships unless they make the mistake of shooting first.

We are disallowed from taking a scenic route? We'll sail however we wish. If our wish is to scout all Spanish harbors, so be it. If our wish is to sail around the entire sea, so be it. We will not deviate our plans.

Since we have not had much communication with your nation we would like to invite some of your admirals and leaders accompanying your vessels to Naples and dine with our King while you are traveling through. Our King would like to learn more of your nation and the current events of Brazil and the Americas if you would accept and possibly show them one of our automobile races.

Whatever you do while you are away from Spain is not important to us. If you desire to run your fleet aground in the coast of Naples, wish to sink it in front of Athens or just reach your destiny, we do not care. However, we do not trust a nation that has repetedly stated its hatred of us, and, as such, no Brazilian warships will be allowed within Spanish territorial waters more than the strictly necessary time to traverse them, without deviations from the route.

BTW EQ, when I said 'this value did not change' in my orders... I'd assumed that by investing 18 EP per turn into Education, my education funding level would change from 16 to 18, which it didn't.

SPAIN'S NAVAL CAMPAIGN IN SOUTH AMERICA. Rio de Janeiro, Empire of Brazil. As local support mounts against the Spanish in various nations along the coast, the matters have not been improved by a massive Spanish naval offensive directed at Brazil's naval capacity. The Spanish navy began by amassing in Puerto Rico and ultimately heading in force against the Brazilian coastline, leaving a trail of flaming coastal cities and ships behind them. Any vessel with a Brazilian flag has been sunk or seized along the coast, devastating local trade and fishing. Ultimately, the Spanish drew out what remained of the Brazilian navy off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, and smashed it into oblivion.

We will sail along the coast of Spain, but unlike the Spanish we will not kill anyone.

Whatever you may believe, an act we took more than fifty years ago during a war does not give you the right to act in a provocative way now. No Brazilian ships will be allowed to enter Spanish waters unless they remain escorted by Spanish ships, which will see them to their way towards Naples. If you want to demonstrate your good intentions, the only thing you can do is to not remain in Spanish waters more than the strictly necessary.

So far, you have paid us only [20 EP] out of the [90 EP] that you owe us. If you pay us the remaining [70 EP] this year, and accept to both place zero tariffs on Spanish products and respect all Spanish property in Sicily, we are willing to accept your becoming one with Sicily. However, the moment you attempt to unilaterally drop either of those two terms, the deal is through, and we will demand that either Sicily secedes from Naples in order for them to keep the terms or for the return of Sicily to Spanish proper rule.

We agreed to four years to pay that debt, and we also said we would keep the zero tariffs and respect the Spanish property in Sicily. Why should we have to pay you the remainder two years earlier then we had agreed upon? That makes no sense at all to us.

News Story Written in the New York Times:

WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY INTRODUCES CONTROVERSIAL NEW WORD: Webster's Dictionary of American English has introduced a new word that has sparked controversy.
The word "Constantinoplean" has the following definition:
Constantinoplean said:
Constantinoplean [kahn•stan•ti•NOPE•lee•an] adj; 1. Sudden, unexpected, unpredictable, uncontrollable, and cataclysmic; 2. Of or referring to the Constantinople Disaster; 3. Sudden, unexpected and disastrous

Examples: 1. The constantinoplean business collapse left many unemployed.
2. A constantinoplean meteor was found in the Bosporus Straight.
3. A constantinoplean event ruined my marriage and led to a divorce.
Many have argued that it is too soon and disrespectful to add the word to the dictionary.
Nonetheless, the sheer scale and destructive nature of the Constantinople Disaster has left a lasting impression on the people of the world, and the English language, as the word is indeed being used.

OOC: Just thought it was kinda funny, and I had no room for it in my orders. Would make sense for the word to enter the language.
