Capto Iugulum

Knew the word, not the exact spelling, and the phone kept messing up when I tried out various spellings of it when I went back to correct it. ... Okay bad grammar there and no time to fix it. Need to stop typing on my phone.

This is the less than 48 hour warning to get those orders in. As previously stated, this is not the update to miss orders for.

Now, onto an issue which is apparently of very high concern. What do we call each of the various sides in this epic conflict? Based on the amount of chatter, this is perhaps the most important issue of the war. Well, I have come to a conclusion, thanks to the related discussion among Spain and friends in their Social Group. Therefore, from here on, the nations in alliance with Spain or associated with them will be known as the Continental Powers. The nations in alliance with Britain will be referred to as the Allies. Now, this may make it sound like there's some sort of bias from OTL, but I'll point out that the Allies lost horribly in ABNW.

To: Pope Leo XIV
From: Naples

All we have stated in the past is we would like to see a united Italy, that means that nations united together to help strengthen us ALL. Our press never did anything to undermine or hurt the Papal States, all it is for is to help allow Italians to voice their opinions freely. You can keep spreading your lies so eventually your supporters will realize the current Pope has serpents tongue. We have explanations for all your accusations, yet when we give them you twist them and use your position as a false man of God to convince the others to join you so you can destroy Naples. If we don't survive this war at least the next time you target a nation of Italy the others will realize what you are doing and remember this time and not follow your corrupt delusions.

Terms associated (in my mind) with each side:

Brazil and friends: Krakow Pact, Lotus Pact, Coalition, republican or constitutional governments, nations

Spain and friends: Triple Alliance, League of Emperors, Confederation, absolute and constitutional monarchies and empires

I like the names you've picked EQ, but I do like the term Coalition.

@Milarqui: I think your unbiased personality and dedication to the truth of a situation is what I most like about you. ;)

Oh, another note, tomorrow Diablo 3 is out, and I will not be assuredly available for last minute questions. Therefore, if you want comments or questions on your orders, today is the day to do it.

Not a hint of bias there :)

Call them Continental Powers (Spain et al) vs the Allied Powers :)

Looking over your orders now. I see no questions in the latest PM I have from you. You were curious about project price, but that sort of thing gets revealed in an update, not before.

I think I chose the right side. :D

Well, in that case, see my above response. The price will be revealed with the update, if applicable, as it requires in-character surveys, etc. Look in the OOC section when the update actually comes out. And, yes, it's ok. By the wording of your orders, I assumed you only wanted a response if there was a problem, so no worries.

So according to Milarqui, Imperial and Autocratic governments lead to "Justice, Fairness, Companionship, Friendliness"?

Both sides really are roughly equal, democratically. There are nondemocratic nations on both sides, but they almost cancel each other out.
