Capto Iugulum

Brazil agrees with the Confederation. The Pacific Concord has presented itself as an alliance against peace by any means with this declaration of support for the illegitimate government in Denver.

We must agree with the sentiment of the powers that have expressed concern so far. The support of the tyrannical Denver government by the Pacific Concord is most worrisome.

Italy is also skeptical of this agreement between Denver and the Pacific Concord and suggest that the Concord does not go through with this.

We are enheartened to hear that we are not alone in our opposition to the Wallace Government's actions.

The weight of the world rests upon you, General. Will you not reconsider your decisions and recognize the legitimacy of the Second Union?

After further discussion, Jacksonia agrees to Article 3 of the above treaty. The remainder will likely be signed in 1917.
We encourage Florida to do the same.

This is a fair enough arrangement, although we recognize neither government as the successor government of the United States at this time, and for now, we will be preserving the peace rather than send our young men abroad.

Notes -

Iggy inspired me, so I decided to copy him :crazyeye:
I changed foreign ship class names - (Evertsen-Class - Romanos-Class; Van Ghent-Class - Numancia-Class; Waakzaam-Class - Vigilant-Class; Atjeh-Class - Duisbourg-Class; Amsterdam-Class - Chasseur-Class; Veroveraar-Class - Conquistador-Class)

* Denotes Flagship for specific fleet (East Indies, Amsterdam or Antwerpen)

Sorry for its length, but that is The Dutch Republican Navy.

We should like to say that we still have a cease fire in effect with the Washington government for two more years, so there is no need for anybody who's complaining about it to get all uppity and start a big war.

Nice Zelet! I localized the name for one of my foreign-designed ships as well. The Furaçao-class destroyers are known to Vinlanders as the Orkan-class.

Yeah it felt weird to write "NRS ---, Numancia-Class" :crazyeye:

Anyway, orders sent :goodjob:

FROM: Japan
TO: The World

It is a most interesting situation Japan has. The United States of America once was in position to be a leader among nations. However, they made errors in how their internal and external affairs were conducted. And for this, they suffered a collapse. Their government fell into disarray. And from this, we have seen new nations arise. We have the honorable nations of Florida and Jacksonia and we have seen dishonorable nations that subscribe to a proletarist philosophy that poses a threat to the world. And for this threat, Europe and South America took it upon themselves to invade these proletarist nations. They proclaimed their mission as solely to ridding North America of proletarist influences. Now, this goal has yet to be achieved, and yet already they are meddling in the affairs of other nations in America. No longer are they merely opposing proletarism, which is something that is mutual amongst us all, but they have gone further. They have claimed the right to determine who shall rule North America. These men claim to desire and represent a world where the individual may choose how they shall ruled over. Yet, they have shown themselves time and again to have animosity and hatred toward any nation who does not function as they, towards any people who does think like they do. They expect every other nation to bow down to worship and emulate their governments, they expect every people to submit to their whims. In their eyes, it is better that a people should die, that nations should be torn asunder, simply because the people are content with rulers who are not sycophants of democracy. Even now, the nation of Brazil readies her navy to make war with Japan. They do not even have the honor of declaring war prior to attacking. So great is their hatred and their fear, that they lash out blindly, striking out at whatever does not act as they do, think as they do. A people decides they wish to retain sovereignty, which they have rightly earned, and Europe and South America cry out. What great harm does this new nation present to Brazil? To the United Kingdom? To the Confederacy? Do they expect an invasion from this nation? Do they expect war? These nations claim to desire peace, but are eager to go war. If any nation desires war, they shall find it. But they cannot expect Japan to oblige in their desires for us to be warmongers simply because they think we are a threat. We shall defend ourselves, certainly, but if any nation wishes to distract our attention from the problem of proletarism, if any nation wishes to be the villain in this era we live in, they shall be the ones who must declare war against Japan. They must be the ones who declare war against the Pacific Concord. They must be the ones who destroy the peace we all desire. If any nation wishes to discuss our support of General Robert Wallace and his government, we are more than willing to engage in dialogue. In turn, we would discuss the support of a nation who would invade Jacksonia and Florida. Japan will defend those who ally with Japan. Japan stands strong. Japan stands united. If Brazil, or any other nation wishes to challenge our nation, we shall be ready. We shall be waiting. The Dragon of Asia sleeps, and only a fool would rouse her.

Ah, yes. Now we recall where our fleet has gone. It has been sailing around Honshu, apparently. Brazil's admiralty thanks the wise emperor for his input on naval matters. While the great Emperor, divine and such and such, has his attentions on the Brazilian government, we'd like ask how the Chinese feel about Japanese rule? Ah, yes, once again we're mistaken, surely. Japan has no history of war crimes, forced annexations or allegiances to genocidal regimes. Our apologies, Mr. Emperor.

Japan is not the one claiming that our nation has not experienced bloodshed or that it is our duty to tell the rest of the world how they must conduct themselves within their territory. Does Brazil miss the kind rule of the Ascendants? Or perhaps Brazil would rather the Emperor step aside, and leave the Asian mainland to the growing threat of the Red Army that threatens to bring proletarism to the East?

We'd prefer democracy, sirs. But we know now that democracy is reserved for the civilized. Barbarians have no place in the 20th century. We will do all within our power to defend freedom and liberty from the likes of the Denver usurpers and the Japanese government.
