Just thought that it is interesting, some of the opinions floating on the internet regarding the owner of this centipede is abit extreme to say the least, but im sure we are all sensible people here . While I am not in the least disturbed by the videos, having owned a large centipede myself, much larger than the one in the clip. many people seems to be genuinely repulsed by it, so be warned. I bought mine from a store that sells them by the dollar as fish foodand kept it on a diet of termites, cockroaches, crickets and geckos.

It is not really that venomous, but its bite force is very strong, that is speaking from my experience. It really crunches down on your finger. You can feed it any live prey, crickets is very good and cheap to breed. Cockroaches and geckos were in plentiful supply in my house at that time as well.

I love having other living organisms fight each other. When I was a kid, I used to drop beetles and other assorted insects on top of fire ant mounds. It was awesome seeing so the fire ants swarm and kill a bug within seconds. And it was even better when they start dismembering it.

Playing god with lower forms of life is so much fun.

Better be careful. There could be a centipede right now crawling up your leg... Each of its tiny little legs piercing your skin... heading for your junk... perhaps mistaking it for a mouse. Enjoy that mental image.

Not really... I think its natural for most kids to do that when they're young?

And also yes they have been around for a while I think... although I personally would not want one as a pet!
