Hi nmcul. That really shouldn't happen if you are using the current patch without any mods, and if your system is in good shape. It could easily happen with a buggy mod, though. What have you done to get around it when it happens?

Two events have occured. One, the game stopped crashing, for five days, and then began again last night. Second, Brad Oliver no longer accepts email from this source, according to the response when I try to send him a message. Now what?

I installed the update and may have found a bug. After install I could not use the editor. It starts up and I get an unexpected quit. I have a back up civ I did not use the bata on in another drive and the editor works fine. The editor was working before I installed the patch.
You need to keep that old non-updated version of Civ3 to use with the editor, and use the 1.29b2 copy for playing. 1.29b2 should play the scenarios you create with your 1.21g-plus-editor combo. You may then want another copy of 1.29b2 to mod if you want to play the gotm, and another to mod for DyP, and .... and ... Oh! And a big hard driveOriginally posted by MacCivFan

Brad has a skeleton editor built for 1.29 bu its not complete, and it may never be since he's doing it for free and has other paying jobs atm. But, he did build 1.29 for us....
