Beyond knowing that Cthulhu is a tentacle-faced "Old God," I know absolutely nothing about Lovecraft so... :p Road to El Dorado takes place among the Maya (kind of) and it sounds like a Road to El Dorado reference so I'm running with it. :p Almost as awesome as Civ5 referencing Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog ("He threw a car at my head.").

Please, consider releasing the patch notes a few hours before the next update, so we can discuss the changes while we wait. We promise we will behave like good lads and gals and we won't be too mad when we find out that you changed England yet again, making it now worse than ever.

I liked Road to El Dorado but I think that line was mostly a throwaway because it doesn't exactly cohere to what was in the movie. Who knows though.

I was thinking of Cthulu because of H.P. Lovecraft's quote "When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live." :O

TBH Road to El Dorado was actually the second thing I thought of, but I'm 99% positive it's not a reference to Pyre. :p

  • Caguana. Cultural. Suzerain bonus: access to Batey improvement, which grants Culture based on its placement.

  • Singapore. Industrial. Suzerain bonus: Production bonus for each foreign trade route.

  • Lahore. Militaristic. Suzerain bonus: Access to a Faith-purchased combat unit – Nihang – with a unique promotion tree.

  • Vatican City. Religious. Suzerain bonus: Religious pressure spread when activating Great People.

  • Taruga. Scientific. Suzerain bonus: Science bonus per strategic resource in cities.

  • Hunza. Trade. Suzerain bonus: Gold bonus for trade route distance.
