Also, considering there is now Babylon, the possibility of another Pass/DLC after the NFP becomes sincerely small.

That's my thinking as well. As long as Babylon and Portugal stayed out, it was content they could hold for another pass. But just Portugal and maybe the Iroquois...that doesn't seem likely. I suspect NFP 06 will be the Portugal Pack and that's it for Civ VI.

Is it just me, or does Hammurabi look very dark for an ancient Babylonian? Is he using the Afonso’s model?

Here is a picture of modern iraqis from the same region. I know several millennia have passed, but it does seem a bit off putting when compared to Dido and Saladin

Typo? Meant to be 2021 presumably.
After seeing the picture below I don't think it is a typo, but also nothing special to derive something from (which I was hoping for). 2 DLC's (most likely DLC 5 and 6) are both set with the same release date, so possibly some form of hiding the exact date.

So no more Native American civ then? Although I love Portugal and a naval civ, I still think they may sit out of civ6.

I know several millennia have passed

I mean since you do know that then why bring the skin color thing up.

Ancient Mesopotamian people ARE NOT modern Iraqis.

it appears there will be a Central Asian (Trade) and a South Asian (Religious) city-state, as well as whatever replaces Babylon (Trade).

Babylon is Science, though I don't think they'll count, probably CS to inherit their current bonus and there will still be additional Science CS among the new set.

Right. What I meant is Bukhara or whatever + Kabul + Lahore is making a Central Asian civ look increasingly unlikely. :(

He looks quite dark to me, taking screen glare into account. In fact, his skin tone looks more Arab/Yemeni than Iraqi to me. Worth recalling that the people of Mesopotamia may be darker than Levantines on average, but they still have a wide range of skin tones. It's really not worth complaining about.

I mean, they more or less are, though rural populations will inevitably be more conservative than urban ones. You might look at pictures of Assyrian Christians or Mandaeans for a particularly conservative population, since being ethnoreligious minorities has kept them relatively isolated from the general population genetically. I'd say Hammurabi here is darker than your average Assyrian but wouldn't stand out among Mandaeans.

Rather than complaining about his skin tone, I'd much rather complain about his clothing. Why is his beard so unkempt? It should be carefully coiffed. And why is his clothing royal blue and white? Indigo, saffron, and vermilion would be much more appropriate colors. Also he needs more gold ornaments, set with lapis lazuli, turquoise, and carnelian.

Mari, Ebla, or Nineveh would be prime candidates to replace Babylon without any significant modifications to it.

I personally think a second Native American civ is more likely than Portugal, but I don't deny my thinking is influenced by the fact that I very much want a second Native American civ and couldn't care less if we never got Portugal.

I'm still leaning towards the 4 new 4 old pattern, and with 4 veteran Civs revealed I'm still set in my belief that the last civ will be a Native American civ.

The possibility of a "Final Frontier" has definitely taken a hit with this development, but it's not impossible imo.

If this is a legit leak (and it does feel faked to me), I regret dropping money on NFP. Not a single civ I wanted, or anything remotely novel or unexpected. Those of you that said it was just a fan service season were right.

Sucks in retrospect. Got my hopes up that choices like the Mapuche and Georgia were actually suggesting VI was more ambitious about introducing new cultures. But instead we just got second-England, second-France, second-Egypt, second-Greece, slight improvements on Austria, Polynesia, Carthage, and the Huns, and two Canadas. I'm so underwhelmed that the only truly new cultural regions in this game amounted to Kongo, GC, Mapuche, Vietnam, and Georgia. And such minimal gains at the cost of losing representation of the Maghreb, Italy, and western America.

Small hope that another year of content is planned with ideas that aren't basic pandering, but if this leak proves to be true, at this point I might just be writing VI off as creatively bankrupt.

I hope that Babylon gets the Kudurru, so if Assyria come in a "possible" second pass they can get a tablet archive/house

Also i think the last civ might be a North American Native one, so maybe Haudenosaunee because its kind a regular in the games, Hiawatha is fine as a leader but with that strange tough of people saying that it most be female cuz X reason i think Jigonhsasee would also be nice; or maybe as dark horse following the especulation of Female Northamerican leader, Toypurina leading the Tongva

If we get a female leader for the Haudenosaunee, I hope it's at least Molly Brant.

I'm feeling that if the final civ of the pass was a Native American civ, its a toss up between either the Cherokee or the Navajo imo.

The Haudenosaunee/Iroquois I can see being reserved for a Final Frontier Pass as a veteran Native civ.
