Civilization VII - Content Spreadsheet Thread - Civ overview!

Han got a Ming great person

I would say that's a mistake more than anything, it is more likely someone did not do a well-thoughted research when design the Han Great Person list. I fully expected FXS changed it afterwards.

I think it's not the mistake by the lack of knowledge. I'll say it that's because they really want to put Wang Yangming in Chinese Civ while Han is only the one which have the unique great person.

They don't speak Spanish anymore :crazyeye:
Well, it's still a recognized language. Either way apparently AI Jose Rizal picked the Maya as their historical civ, so it seems like he might want to end up in Mexico eventually.
Maybe. But look, Han is more than Han, there are several elements of ancient Chinese history that go beyond Han. They could have made a modern German Empire that included elements of Prussia instead of changing the pattern of previous versions of always calling the German civ Germany. They seem to have gone for Prussia because they plan on making a contemporary German civ in the future.
I do agree that it's weird that they took some elements from other Chinese dynasties, sort of like how the French Empire has Ancien Regime unique buildings. But honestly, I can't really see them putting in a whole new era filled with civs like the Republic of India, PRC, USA, United Kingdom, Soviet Union, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France etc.

That's... not how things work. If they really want to put Wang Yangming in, then give Ming a list of unique Great Person. Squeezing a glaringly anachronic figure in the design with no other reason than "I want them in" is hardly a proper design philosophy, and in most of the civ designs, we can see FXS has a decent design philosophy at work.

I did complained a bit about mesoamerica feeling a bit disconnected, it seems both Tecumseh and José Rizal alleviate this a bit leading to Mexico.

I also have a feeling Aztecs will come soon in the Right to Rule DLC with a leader, bridging the gap between Maya and Mexico without going through the Inca.

I am pleasantly surprised to have Jose Rizal as a playable leader. Sad that Britain / UK might be in for DLC.
I'm very relieved it's (1) not a European and (2) not a choice that griefs other leaders I'm more interested in (like Shah Jehan, who griefs Nur Jahan).

I'm also excited that Germany is indeed present as "Prussia" which is a more specific and interesting direction. Makes sense too - America is the Industrial Civ in the Modern Era, so there's not much room for a Germany which takes on the same niche.

So considering Oblique Frederick is Militaristic and Scientific, I'm expecting Baroque Frederick to be Cultural and Diplomatic.

It would also be weird to have 4th age Soviets when the whole deal with the 3rd age is picking your ideology, such as Communism.
Tbf, you could see this as them leaving room for the soviets to be unlocked mechanically by picking communism as an ideology (or more likely getting to the end of the communism tree).
Also the Ideology path is meant to represent more the World Wars, so maybe the 4th age military victory is more related to the Cold War (making the soviets an obvious inclusion). This could make a lot of sense if the 4th age is the "Information Age" as many think, making the military victory revolve around espionage and intelligence.

Dear lord, this game is packed with IP's, we are almost at 80 right now and considering we didn't catch much of Exploration and anything in Modern yet, expect the number to triple perhaps. So repeating my post from another thread, but in spoilers to not be so big here is the full list of what I catched until now, the bolded text is what did saw in the UI no doubts on there:
Spoiler The new Indepedent Powers spotted :

Sunda - Sundapura
Kushan
- Khalchayan
Sinhala
- Anuradhupara
Norte Chico - Caral-Supe (they could go with another name rather than Norte Chico)

- Nishapur
Mediomatrici - Divodurum
Phoenicia - Tyre
Goth
- Gutthiuda
Lan Xang
- Luang Prabang

Ottoman
- Istanbul (this one I triple check, it's in Exploration Age, not Modern)
Scythia - Scythian Neapolis
Silla - Seorabeol
Sardinian?
- Su Nuraxi (came from a Polish review, the name there actually "Sardinian" instead of "Nuragic"... So idk)
Punt? - Opone (this may not be Punt but I clueless in what else cound be)
??? - Pedra Pintada (oddly the only know Brazilian IP in the game appeared in Brazilian review, no idea whitch of the 2 Pedra Pintada archeological sites it's talking about) EDIT: This was actually just a translation confusion, it's Hohokam - Painted Rock
Bugkalot
- Nagtipunan
Carthage
- Carthage
Mannai? - Izirtu
Goryeo
- Gaegyeong
Rapa Nui
- Anakena (they use Andine graphics for this one...)
Nansarunai? - Nansarunai (this is in Borneo island)

Hittites - Hattusa
Taíno
- Camagüey
Kush? - Meröe (not sure if it's Kush or Nubia)
Lan Na - Chiang Mai
Mali? - Niani
Tichitt - Dhar Tichitt

Also, Retenu, Shomron, Tyre and Megiddo all exist at same time, Meggido is used for Canaan, Tyre probably is Phoenicia and Shomron is for Hebrew... That still leaves the mystery of what the hell Retenu exactly is. Ah and Syvash make another appearence too, still no clue who it is really.

Now the main stuff, I lost my bet, Britain is not in the game yet but in it's place Prussia takes the last Modern Age slot. On the leaders, Friederich the Great and José Rizal are the last last unknow vanilla leaders before the reviews, also both Friederich and Himiko are the ones with personas.

Now the wait for news is basically the remaning IP's and whenever the Crossroads of the World packs launchs

I think this is is the same as Painted Rock of the Hohokam that has been seen in other videos.

Oh... So that was because the name got translated after all? Well that's somewhat a pity ngl, but well if that's the case, do any review got to enter the diplomacy screen of that settlement? Just to confirm it

Still missing on the chart: Himiko's persona's: Queen of Wa and High Shamaness.

Ok, thanks that I got the spreadsheet wrong because we got a new Natural Woder today huh? I didn't expect that, anyways, corrections + Vinicunca wonder

Ok, more IP's found, most on Exploration:
Melayu - Muara Jambi
Byzantium - Constantinople
Denmark - Roskilde
Haudenosaunee
- Onondaga
Nubia - Kerma
Powhatan - Werowocomoco

They’re really hitting these out of the park! Makes me optimistic for good city name choices for each civ too.

Byzantium - Constantinople
I'm assuming that's Exploration too? That's kind of crazy considering Istanbul and the Ottomans exist in the same age.
