There are still types of IPs/CSes as I understand it though.Retroactively, it isn't that odd to see more independent powers. The Suzerain bonuses are chosen for them by the player, meaning that any IP can give any Suzerain bonuses, and are less grounded in their history.
So yeah, you can have significantly more IPs, but every IP is more or less equal.
Yes, but there's no real distinction between IPs of the same type. There are still types of IPs/CSes as I understand it though.
That seems true.Yes, but there's no real distinction between IPs of the same type.
Indeed. Andrew Johnson said there may be 100 per age!We were all wrong and IP stands actually to Infinite Powers. There are so many in the game... Albeit I guess with different ones for each age, and with they doubling as barbarian camps, there is likely a lot more per run than there was city states in 6.
How fantastic!Indeed. Andrew Johnson said there may be 100 per age!
Not unprecedented. The Gothic city-state is Gotthiuda, literally the Gothic People. It becomes redundant in the contextual statement.Ok a really tiny update: turns out the Champa IP are actually called the Cham, and their settlement is... The whole Champa kingdom? I mean is not like we don't know specific city names of them so that's odd

Wasn't it founded by the Medes? So it could be Hamadan of the Medes. I think I remember hearing that the Sassanids are also an Exploration IP, so maybe this could be their city as well.Is Hamadān Exploration? Otherwise seems strange not to have it on Persia's city list (unless it's called Ecbatana/Agbatana or Ctesiphon there).
These are all from an Exploration age video. Is Hamadān Exploration? Otherwise seems strange not to have it on Persia's city list (unless it's called Ecbatana/Agbatana or Ctesiphon there).
Ah, good, then the devs are thinking in the right direction.Sassanids are also an Exploration IP
Hamadan is in fact an Abbasid town taken over by the Vatican City nearby. Is Hamadān Exploration? Otherwise seems strange not to have it on Persia's city list (unless it's called Ecbatana/Agbatana or Ctesiphon there).
