I sure hope it's not Fort Cass for Exploration Cherokee, that was an American embassy to them that was later transformed into an internment camp, far from their own settlement. A Modern Age New Echota would be infinitely preferable; I really don't hope that the Shawnee Age precedent will extend to all Native IPs...

Seconding modern age New Echota.

I’m hoping that too, especially because the etymology of this name… Something I found interesting is that Slovak city Kosice, in a certain historical period, had named “Kassa”, which adding its possibility.

Ok, today update is basically Meiji's icon and the addition of that Kāsī ? or in the orginal CN version 喀斯 (I'm going with that in the meanwhile until we identify it) + the 100% confirmation on Elam and Kanem

Some confirmations to the previous presumable IP's names.
In left to right order: Dacian people leading Acmonia, Shirdana people leading Su Nuraxi (It's from a Spanish localization, at least proving that the name of this IP is changing by language), and "罗斯人" (Rus people) leading "基辅" (Kyiv).

I'll say that I find it interesting that despite the player not picking Spain, Isabella still went with the Normans instead. Do the AI just go picking in a circle without consideration of the others? If that's the case, this image is a pretty good example... Augustus went first and picked Spain because it's a successor of Rome that matches one of his attributes. Isabella's free unlock has been taken, so she goes for a different European power. Now that both of them have gone, Benjamin is up, and all of Exploration Europe has been taken. Thus, he goes for a random Civilization he has unlocked, Songhai. It's the probably the simplest method, but I know that there are those on this forum who would much prefer that the AIs "confer," so that if it's possible for Isabella to lead the Spanish, she does.

I’d certainly be one of them

Some of these paths are proving as bad as Humankind. The AI diverging from historical/geographical paths is so far the worst fault found in the game

Based on all the videos I’ve viewed, I’m thinking it may be done in order based from left to right, so since Augustus already picked Spain, Isabella went with Norman’s.

Huh, so Acmonia is from Dacia? Thanks for the confirmation on the Rus too, now the people from Su Nuraxi the mystery is what name the English version is going by, the Spanish one is the same as the Polish I saw earlier, but still helps

Do you know of a video showcasing the Shawnees, at least the screen when they are selected (even if not chosen to play in the end)?

[Edit] Ah, just found one (in French, but it's Ok for what I was looking for).

Mparntwe is actually the Arrernte name for Alice Springs, Australia. Wonder how many more Aboriginal Australians are IPs. Hopefully the Yolngu and Noongar are in. Love to see the inclusion of the Garamantes of present day Libya.
Sheesh, look at these huge areas with no representation. Clearly the current approach to who gets included is myopic, at best.

We could use some Inuit (or Eskimo-Aleut by linguistics)/Na-Dene peoples and indigenous Siberians (Yeniseians, Yukaghirs, Chukotkan) as IPs. Also Sibir could be an IP.

Is that just to represent Japan in the Exploration Age? I fully expect that one to be removed when we get an Exploration Age Japan.

We have seen Alice Springs also, haven't we? Was that a translation thing, or are Mparntwe and Alice Springs both present, but in different Ages?

In the Chinese loc. they are using Alice Springs as name instead of Mparntwe for the Arrernte, the other languages we saw are going with Mparntwe like the English loc.

That was quite a oopsy from Polygon huh? Basically the content from Deluxe edition, aka Crossroads of the World pack. So the new addition, basing their Age on what their IP versions are: Britain (presumably Modern), Bulgaria (presumably Exploration), Carthage (presumably Antiquity), Nepal (presumably Modern)
The new leaders are: Ada Lovelace, Simón Bolívar
And the wonders are Machapuchare, Mount Fuji, Vihren and Vinicunca
