Just to let you know that robk has done his magic stuff and released an updated version of the Info Addict mod...

v17 Changes:
- Now compatible with Gods and Kings expansion.
- Faith and Faith per turn are now tracked and displayed for each civ.

...I assume that this will need to be updated in your Unofficial patch....?

In the meantime would it cause an issue if the UP is loaded and then the new version 17 of Info Addict is also added, but as you can't adjust the load order I would doubt that would work...?

Load order can now be controlled by modders with "association" tools in modbuddy. However, this project has always been fully compatible with InfoAddict. I don't anticipate any problems if you use them together.

I will use them both together then.

Do you happen to have an updated list of things which the UP now applies to the "fixes" needed since the G&K expansion, as I assume parts may have been omitted or changed due to to official fixes etc...?
 
I temporarily disabled these interface enhancements until I have time to deal with the changes made in the expansion:

  • Citystate popup (protected and exports list)
  • Production selection
  • Scrollbar on wonder popup effect list
  • Score list on victory screen
 
While I am translating text files, I am really enjoying all of the great interface changes.

However, I note that notification option (custom notification mod) and promotion tree option could not be accessed from the menu... Are they being disabled deliberately for more G&K testing or am I encountering an error...?
 
I just got another issue. While I left-click the name of the unit settler, I get the promotion tree panel activated. However, while I left-click the name of the Jaguar Warrior, the game freezes. I have to ctr+alt+del to close the program...
 
Just managed to install VEM+CiVUP, no G&K. Am enjoying so far, but a question: Playing the Ottomans - what does "Sea Barbarians surrender when defeated" mean? I bombarded a Barbarian Slaver and it just... sank.

it means that if you attack barbarian ship with melee ship it is chance that you capture ship and pay only 1of 3 price

With pre-G&K CivUP, all Turkish ships capture sunk barbarian ships... as long as you aren't playing on strategic view. (I'm not sure about quick combat.) One of these two factors could be affecting your game - or it's a bug.
 
Thanks! I wasn't on strategic view, and I don't think quick combat, can double check though. So when you sink the barbarian ship, what is supposed to happen, does it just ressurect with your colors? Or maybe I needed to wait a turn or two?...
 
Yes, it resurrects with your colors instantly.

You'd know if you were on quick combat: you wouldn't see your ship actually fire and strike the other vessel.
 
In that case, brahms has a 50% chance of capturing the sunk barb vessel, right?

I can't say for certain, because I don't know if Thal commented out the vanilla trait for the Ottomans (so no ships will convert) or if the game will default to the vanilla trait if the VEM event doesn't work. I suspect the former..
 
According to the post you linked to it sounded like he was able to revert to vanilla traits. But guess I'll have to track down a few more slavers to find out!

I have one stupid question : I have an ongoing marathon game with CiVUP v13 on CiV G&K, can I upgrade to v15 (or anyway the latest version) without breaking this game ?

I also have a question for the devs or other smart people. For even v 17 (and zero other mods loaded, so I know it's the unoff. patch), ingame CTL+L for loading is disabled and in the game menu there is no button to "LOAD GAME". Which line in whic .XML or .LUA file do I disable to return the loading function?

The in game load is disabled because there are bugs with mods when you load from a game direcly.
To load a game go to main menu -> mods -> etc and load, so there won't be the bugs from loading ingame.
