That's the kind of assumption that people of totalitarian mindset tend to make. It comes from a basically corrupt core of "total power is good, I'd have fun with that, everyone must want it" that divorces power from responsibility. Trump most certainly is an adherent. He is playing President, with breaks to play golf, and if he were king he'd be doing the same...just without a limited term. But if you look at presidents who actually took the responsibilities of the job seriously you will see that they showed very little inclination towards being kings. With greater authority would come greater responsibility, and since they weren't ignoring what they had they had all they could handle.
Having dealt with Arakhor within the scope of his responsibilities as a forum moderator I know he would take other responsibilities seriously and I doubt he would be interested in being a monarch, or even a president. Not everyone is a totalitarian.
