No, the differences result mostly from different methods.

The first map shows percentages within borders of each county.

The second one ignores counties and is an isarithmic map:

Not seeing how Spife is working as a spoon at all (unless it just doesn't show in this angle). Wouldn't it be more sensible to just have (if you must combine them) a utensil which on one edge is a spoon and on the other a somewhat not that sharp knife?

The big difference between knife and spoon and fork ar that you don't put a knife in your mouth. So combining fork and spoon is more reasonable than the knork an spife, as for both of them the knife part must not be too sharp to protect the user.

Forks are a pretty recent invention. And a sharp pointed knife is the same as a one-pronged fork.

Talking of bonkers cutlery: a cake fork is actually a combination of a fork and a knife. Not a very good knife, but then cutlery knives are very poor knives to begin with.

One of my favourite things is the slotted spoon.

It's taken me as much as a week to eat a single bowl of soup with one of those.

I'm assuming the baseball one only is counting when the ball is play because the ball is live pretty much the entire game. Completely misleading.

I agree, they should have counted whenever the pitcher has the ball and is just standing there, looking to first base, waiting to pitch, etc. But I don't think they should have really included any other time other than that (but then again, I'm not really a baseball expert, although I do watch it from time to time).

I have a feeling Rugby Union and especially Aussie Rules Football will compare pretty favourably here. Aussie Rules goes for about 120 minues of clock time and there's probably live play about 85% of that.
