DaNES II: When the Stars Fall

Look closely children, as Espoir's comment is an actual epoch fail in progress. Also, I have no idea how or why you are monitoring a diplomatic exchange thousands of miles away, unless of course you enjoy blending IC and OOC. Oh wait, you do. Learn to play, noob.

So we can join in at any time?

If so I'll first decide if I have the time to commit, if I do than I have a feeling the first Polish City States will arise soon.

You can.

That said, there have been eight centuries of divergence, and so the proto-Slavic groups that can be identified are in wildly different locations under wildly different circumstances; the best candidates for something approaching a proto-Slavic state would be some of the tribes among the Burgunda, or the Antes. Neither of those is playable right now. And you can't just pick a spot in the black and say "yeah I wanna make a fresh state here with these attributes" because likely as not those attributes aren't going to have any connection to the people that actually live there at the time. For instance, much of Poland is currently "controlled" by the Gothic horde.
There are no slavs in this time-line
Not technically true. There are some. They're just not the same kind of Slavs, and they're in different places.

Treaty of Jiangxi

So the Germans didn't migrate West in this timeline than?
Some of them did. Some of them didn't. The Iberian thing is ruled by the descendants of the Chatti, and the French thing is ruled by Bastarnae. Not to say they didn't have Celtic or Slavic groups among them at one point (they probably did), they've just assimilated since the migrations, which due to the non-existence of the Roman Empire and major divergences in the Central Asian steppe happened in a rather different manner than they did in OTL.

OOC: Some Germanic peoples did, but that doesn't mean that any Slavic groups took their place automatically.

Also, Espoir and Thlayli, let's not get personal.

Edit: Ninja'ed by Dachs himself... :)

Taking the Mazsakata Horde.

From The Mazsakata Horde
To Kingdom of Sogdiane

Your armies are in ruins, and our blades lay hilt deep in the viscera of your "Kingdom". This may end in two ways for you. On one hand you will be destroyed, and either the Tantan, or the Great Mazsakata shall take your capital and lay waste to it. On the other hand you can agree to pay us a tribute of 60 talents per year, for 10 years. In addition to tribute you will hand over the following territories to the Mazsakate.

The Areas marked in Green will be handed over to the Mazsakate. The arked in pink shall be returned to Sogdiane.

Sogdiane-Mazsakate Accord

1. The Kingdom of Sogdiane shall tender the yearly sum of 60 talents for a period of 10 years to the Great Mazsakate Horde.

2. The Kingdom of Sogdiane shall relinquish the territory marked in the map shown to the Great Mazsakate Horde.

3. The Kingdom of Sogdiane and the Great Mazsakate Horde shall cease any and all hostilities immediately.

These terms are more than enough for the Kingdom of Sogdiane to remain a viable state.

Heartwarming. Sogdiane feels like just the prettiest girl at the dance.

Spoiler to Spadahaura Ardashir of Mazsakata :

I accept these provisions on all counts. May Ardashir's drinking horn never be left dry, may his herds never die from a sudden inexplicable pox, may his children grow up literate and beautiful. Cordially yours, B. Straton.

Is there a guideline for sending orders? I am looking at the "Show me your orders" thread but I would like to know if there is a format Dachs prefers.

Current Stats
Turn goals
Itemized spending
Details of specific actions to be taken or implemented

OOC: I thought spending was supposed to go first, oops.. Maybe this should be put on the front of the thread?

Dachs, is this the correct line up of players in Asia?

Daliang Dynasty-Luckymoose
Dayang Dynasty - The Strategos
Wu Dynasty - Kraznaya
Nanyue Dynasty - alex994
Kingdom of Champa - NPC
Kingdom of Jin-guk - NPC Azale
Yamato Empire - Birdjaguar

I believe that the important aspect for spending is that it be a clearly defined section:

100 for improved roads
750 for 5,000 infantry
250 to bribe XYZ
500 for a courtly feast to sway faction A to support our cause

Total spent: 1600

OOC: Azale is now Jin-Guk.
