A couple of things:Well, if your going for a more historically inclined RFC game, as your tag specifies, then the fact that the Normans are not mentioned at all in this game is very surprising. Heck the English should spawn in 1066, and give way for some Norman/Viking invasions to take place, otherwise the spawns of France and England are very boring, and lack the real drama that took place during that time.
1) For me historicity doesn't mean that I will throw obstacles into the players way and never has. Rouen would be exactly that.
2) English history doesn't start with William the Conqueror.
3) There are dozens of conflicts of similar scale to the Hundred Years War that are also not portrayed in RFC. The Hundred Years War wasn't even particularly important to the course of history: it's simply not relevant enough to be portrayed on the scale of RFC, nor is it feasible to do so.
Well, the HRE didn't even exist as a concept at the time of Germany's spawn so I see good reasons for it. Strangely enough, your standards for historical accuracy are pretty arbitrary sometimes. So yes they should have been called the Holy Roman Empire, at the start of the game when they spawn they should be called the HRE, I don't see any reason for them not to do so.
Conquer Constantinople in your first turn and you won't have that problem. It did flip the turn after, but with Trabazon as my capital, which wasn't very nice to see, overall I didn't care too much, but I don't understand why the Mongols weren't evicted, and Konya made my capital. (Frankly its a better city for a capital, as its also easier to defend).
I've seen them. Also I edited my last post with other suggestions.
