[R&F] Devs Play as India

I was able to watch a little of this earlier and had to go "oh noooooo" when she said Civ 6 was the first Civ game with an Indian leader who wasn't Gandhi
I guess female Gandhi was included in that statement as well.

I hang my head in shame.

Thanks for watching the stream, folks - appreciate the feedback, and you're giving me some great ideas for things to show next time!

Hey, thanks for the stream. You did a great job. Oh and seeing as this is your first post, welcome to Civ Fanatics.

Dang, I was hoping for volcanoes, or meteors that destroy districts (but leave a unique luxury Crystite resource).
Hmm, Libyan glass would make a really cool luxury resource. I understand there's something similar but rarer occurs in the Australian deserts, too. (Also makes me miss the Beringer Crater natural wonder. I've been there in real life, and it's pretty breathtaking.)

Volcanoes were in the game at one point and they weren't fun. At least whey weren't when one of your cities got RNG auto-destroyed.

I believe in Civ I they could devastate your city unless you had a temple built.

cIV had random events and I really miss those. They need to bring them back but make them optional for people that don’t like them.

I can think of no less enjoyable mechanic for a Civ game than RNG disasters. Plague with a health mechanic I can live with because you have the tools to keep your cities clean and healthy. Unavoidable volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis destroying my cities? No thanks.

I now want there to be consequences for continuous losses in theological combat.
Hinduism lost again.
Earthquake/Tsunami/Volcanic Eruption/Famine hits India.
Somebody is not on their side right now. I mean the apostles are already shooting down each other with lightning.

Real life civs located along faultlines or next to volcanoes thought so, too. :mischief: I don't have a problem with it, but "utterly destroy a city" level eruptions should happen two or three times a game at most. I mean, eruptions that destructive don't happen every millennia in populated areas IRL, but humans have gravitated to volcanic regions for the rich soil and access to obsidian (and other volcanic stones like basalt, granite, slate, and shale).

That's one way to avoid making it completely unavoidable right there. Volcanoes with high-value nearby tiles, but a chance of an eruption damaging/destroying the city. Don't settle near them and be safe, but you don't get to reap the rewards.

That's fine but from memory sometimes they could randomly spawn from mountains
