It's in your sig!

CNN Exit Poll in Georgia says Trump flipped Independents. Interesting, but I was fairly sure GA and AZ would flip back to Trump. Waiting until the Great Lakes report in.
PBS is reporting in some rural countries in GA Harris massively increased Democrat vote count compared to 2020 and 2016, IIRC it was like +10. She didn't win those counties, nobody ever expected it, but those are actual numbers.

Day 1 in a close race we won't know who won things like county margins are gonna give us hints though. Harris is doing atypically well in Indiana in suburban counties for example which may show a trend that we can extrapolate to the other demographically similar states like PA.

No sign of any significant black trump vote

I'm thinking... whiskey.

I'm thinking... whiskey.
Given your complaint about low corn prices, it better be corn whiskey. Need demand to pull prices up!

None at Casey's. Seagrams it is. Probably some corn syrup in the Arnold Palmers to go with it.

Edit: should have gotten the 7up. Arnold Palmers work with bourbon, this is gross.

I'm trying to imagine what would make Harris crappier than Trump. Has she been slaughtering puppies en masse and raping their corpses in public?

Worse. She's part of the current US's genocidaire administration. Their spokesman jokes about starving a whiole people to death.

Trump may or may not turn out to be as bad, between his being pasl with the evil israeli one and his apparently genuine dislike of the whole idea of having wars instead of negotiations. We will see. I doubt he will rein the israelis in because he won't regard the blood as being on his hands. But he may decide to charge so much for keeping up the flow of weapons and intelligence that they are forced to stop earlier.

I literally cracked up at this post. I'm still laughing as I type this .

Thanks inno, I needed that

Good for you you got a laugh while you could :p

People dislike Kamala Harris, but she doesn't nearly inspire the same level of revulsion as Hillary Clinton did. She's more around Biden levels of popularity (well, around the same level Biden was at in the 2020 general election) and Trump is a lot more hated now than he was in 2016 because he's just continued proving that as bad as we thought he was then, he's worse.

You got some kind of supporting evidence for that, or is it just you going on "feels" because you, despite being a professed "leftist," hate the Democrats more than the Republicans?

Kamala tried hard to be a non-entity, but inevitably she had to open her mouth. Nothing good came out. Nothing intellugible came out (apart from I support Israel's genocide). Her whole campaign was based on "I'm not Trump". She did not had a single positive message, a single believable promise.

I do not know why the pollsters were so wrong, keep being so wrong. I did hear that one in particular oversampled older women, was the criticism against that particular poll.

The demonization of Trump by the democrats probably contributed to how wrong the polls are election after election there. More people will refuse to indulge pollsters because they (most of the media, where the polls are published) are with the enemy. It is not fear of speaking out, mind you, it is disgust at them. That's what happens in these situations. Look at the (let's be ironic) polls about the credibility of the media...

If you turn out to be wrong about this, will you say you were wrong or will you imply that the Democrats must have cheated in some way?

Don't worry, with the kind of electoral disaster for them I'm expecting they can't cheat. And with the kind of candidate and campaign the democrats had they could not but lose. I will be surprised if Trump fails to get a landslide. Furthermore, I thinl the democrats will do worse in the vote for president than in the other voting. Ther candidate and their campaign was that bad.

wow would you look at that a democratic presidential candidate went chasing moderate republican voters and is going to lose on depressed turnout in her urban base

never heard that story before

And they will conclude that they didn't do enough to win the far right vote.

Numbers aren't in yet.
One could argue that they list on social policy or running a PoC women.

Looking vad for her anyway.

If you think she's bad, wait until you see what Trump would do for Israel

We will see. I made a prediction about the election. I can make one about Trump's behaviour regarding wars. He doesn't like to get into them. Everything in his past behaviour and opinions points that way, the neocons will be out of luck, more this time than his his previous run where some did get it.

If they don't get him assassinated first...

I hope for the best and assume the worst. And the worst keeps happening.......

A lot of libertarians were likely drawn in after Elon Musk promised to bring in Ron Paul as his advisor. Libertarians have wanted Ron or a Ronlike candidate since 2008. Of course, Trump was appealing to the libertarians before that -- he attended the libertarian convention -- and the LP establishment put up a candidate most libertarians wouldn't get behind, Chase Oliver. Not sure about other indies.

If the "urban base" can't be trusted to vote for a normal person over a professional crazy person, then screw them.
If they can't put on their big kid pants and hold their nose, then well, they deserve what they get.
