Tilting him by predicting his statements then mocking him when he says what you predicted, would probably short circuit Trump into frustrated silence, because he wouldn't want to keep making you right, but he wouldn't be able to shift gears and say something different... so he'd probably just brood quietly.
I woke up before the alarm this morning, and in that most lucid state, this swum back into my mind. This is absolutely the right strategy.

She has to be prepared for one thing. You saw it in the Biden debate. Whatever the first question is, he won't answer it, but will instead reel off five attacks. Border. Inflation. Weaponized Justice System. Abortion in the eighth, ninth month, even after birth. World War III. He wants to put the debate on his terms right from the start.

She should listen to the order and say, "So in a question about the national debt, you talked about [tick them off on her fingers] the border, inflation, a weaponized justice system, abortion after birth and World War III. All the old hits. [Then pivot to your thing]. In the rest of this debate, we'll hear about the price of bacon, about countries 'emptying out their insane asylums.' and about how if we 'drill, baby, drill' it will bring the price of home mortgages down. Same old. Same old. With bacon off the table, I bet you can't name another grocery item that has seen steep increases. Name one country that has emptied out its insane asylums. One. Yeah, you got nothing but your same old gripes and grievances. Same old, same old. Next you'll be saying we're a 'nation in decline, 'like a third-world country' and 'we're not going to have a country anymore." Do you ever get any new material? Oh, and just for once, could something, anything of your choosing, not be 'the best of all time' or 'the worst of all time.'"

Lex already told you, to which I have responded.

At this point I'm out of suggestions other than maybe try reading(it all again)?

I have tried reading them again. They're still an incoherent mess, because you adamantly refuse to ever say what you mean directly.

Lol, sure. It's literally, "Great job fellas, you did what you said you were going to do."

Have yourself a lovely day.

It's a survival skill.

Our electoral choices were absurd before Biden bowed out and are no less absurd now.

Well, yeah. Your choice hasn't changed. If anything he's gotten more absurd.

Seems like Kennedy is down 4 points. His loss appears to be Harris' gain.

Also somewhat interestingly, Joe Rogan is evidently supporting Kennedy. I wonder if you could fairly say Rogan represents a subculture. Or a counterculture. Or a countercultural subculture.

Regardless, it's probably fewer votes for Trump.

So what is the latest on the battleground states polling? Any new numbers?

I supposed she'd be entitled to change things in it if she wanted to. I'll keep my ear open for any sign she means to do so.
Nah, she'd be taking too big of a risk unnecessarily to do that. Like you said, right now people can just project whatever they want onto her, and its to her advantage to just maintain that. They asked her about Israel/Palestine today and she repeated the existing policy verbatim. Cease fire needed right away, hostage deal needed right away, don't harm civilians, go after Hamas terrorists, ignore any questions/demands to arms-embargo Israel. Status quo.

On that note, its well known that she is less favorable towards Israel than say, Biden... but even Obama had a reputation of being less favorable towards Israel than the US is usually and that ended up being pretty unsatisfactory to folks who want a harsher stance towards Israel. Harris would be a fool to wade into that quagmire... there is no stance she could take that would be satisfactory. Plus, as a reminder, she's still the VP, she doesn't have direct authority to do anything about Israel.

Today Trump accused Harris of repeating the same speech over and over again.

Pro Publica posted an article about leaked Project 2025 training videos. Basically, Iranian hackers got access to Trump's campaign due to a staffer clicking a suspicious email link.

If you want to view the videos, they are up on Pro Publica's Youtube channel and are about as cultish as you can get.

EDIT: Here's Politico's full report.

TL;DR: Trump's team confirmed it.

Microsoft reported a major campaign had been hacked back in June.

Someone started sending leaked info to Politico under the name "Robert".

Research dossiers on Vance and Rubio.

The person said they had a “variety of documents from [Trump’s] legal and court documents to internal campaign discussions.”

Asked how they obtained the documents, the person responded: “I suggest you don’t be curious about where I got them from. Any answer to this question, will compromise me and also legally restricts you from publishing them.”

Anti-culture.

@Gori the Grey I’d love to put you in Harris’ campaign advisory staff, because I think all of the recommendations you’re making are big-time unforced errors.

I think if Harris begins with a scripted diatribe against Trump’s answers, it’s only going to look fake, forced, and her appeal will go down.

"May I remind you Mr. Trump that you are a 34x convicted felon, a sex offender and not qualified to handle top secret government documents? Oh, What was the question....." In response to every question.
This.

As Democrats, we say with one voice: no more.

We are going to at last build the health care system the American people have always deserved: one that finally provides universal health care coverage
I wonder what the chances of this actually happening

Lose the numbers on that one though. Nobody listens to numbers.
Yeah, well BJ doesn't understand the nomenclature. Getting convicted on 34 counts in one trial is once convicted. If this were not a politically motivated prosecution it would be one count and a slap on the wrist, if that. There is no chance this travesty will survive appeal, but Merchan may well jail Trump as political mischief regardless of the unnecessary risk to a former President and candidate. If Trump were to be injured or killed, they'll shrug in public and celebrate in private. That's my opinion. Also, in my opinion the character of the characters in these witch hunts is despicable from the White House and Department of Justice down to the NY personnel in the courtroom. I know that Trump is a bigger man than his persecutors, but it will be necessary to clean house after the election.

You are allowed to actually say what you mean, in understandable language, on this forum.

Trump team confirmed "the account of a ‘high-ranking official’ on the US presidential campaign" lead to this leak. That puts paid to the story that the Trump campaign has nothing to do with Project 2025.

I did. Lex and Sommer have covered it. Sommer then got clever about asking it immediately again once it was answered. This is tedious and I'm bored by it. You all are being boorish.

I am allowed to congratulate my Democrat countrymen on the results of thier political and policy victories. We have to share the space, credit where credit is due.
