Deport ten million undocumented migrants at gunpoint. Blanket national abortion ban. Dismantle the Board of Education. 60% tariffs on China, 20% tariffs on Europeans. Quit NATO, carve up Ukraine with Russia. Finish the wall on the Mexican border.
Presidency, senate, house, supreme court, everything is on your side.
We, the rest of the world, are looking from across the ocean.

We'd still have something like the USA here and now even if it split apart then. Look at Canada, look at the rest of the Western Hemisphere.
Yeah, I'm sure the reason why the Democrats did poorly in NYC and some other inner cities is because they weren't hard enough on immigrants. Sounds legit.

Our correspondents there report that cost of living was a big issue, apparently inflation hit you guys harder than us, on an individual level.
And in the Southern states apparently the previous generations immigrants are voting against this generations immigrants.
It also seems likely some voted for local abortion laws, but for Trump as president. It is all speculation at this time, the vote will be analyzed in weeks and months ahead.

Rambling and inconsistent
here's my guesses.
- trump's free exposure in the media cycle as funny outrage man was apparently back and working.
- dems were too slow at fixing biden's awful ticket.
- on any policy issue, people covid time dilation is apparently real, as it's been four years, and have already forgotten what it was like four years ago.
- same goes for issues of political structure (2025, scotus are echoes of the stuff that was happening under trump); but people probably don't care about this.
- "they stole the election" may have taken hold in the centre.
- apparently people don't care about abortion rights, or the media cycle bought&promoted trump's "states' rights" defense over it.
- numbers are still coming in, but i spot checked nevada and from what i could gather when that's probably lost, there's also an appx drop of 20% in turnout. it required some googling and it's just my own very quick calc. i'm very much looking forward to the turnout stats. maybe there wasn't as much energy as we expected in june. october did feel like that.
one (temporary, as the count is still unfinished) statistic i saw showed that harris still won every age bracket except 42-65 i think it was. including them olds.

Thank you, someone with common sense, or the common touch. Noboby dislikes immigrants more than recent immigrants. I entered this beautiful land, it's mine, I'm not sharing, get out.

technically the AP hasn't called it yet but for all practical purposes the election was over hours ago.

The only two major players were Germany and Japan. Italy was almost completely propped up by Germany
