Put quotation marks around the terms you want, and it'll return you results containing the exact same phrase
I just tested it, and it fails to find words I have used on this site. I am surprised, googles database used to be pretty complete of this place, and others like it. I wonder if there is room in the market for a better competitor?

I just tested it, and you're right. It's funny, I used an exotic word in these forums about a year ago, and I was looking it up on the Google and one of the first things to pop up was my post.

Maybe it takes time for stuff to go into the database? I did try with one of your posts you made in Tuesday, but it wouldn't work

I tested a rare word I used 10 years ago, Dinorwig. Google found one other page, but not my post. DuckDuckGo, Bing and Yahoo found none. The CFC internal search finds it.

I am sure time was that post would be easy to find with all major search engines.

US gamers should expect higher game and hardware prices because of Trump tariffs with a possible spillover effect for the rest of the world.

"Trump wants to improve the economy of the USA, and not that of China" is the same news but in a different light

It's only online you see it. As I said I don't care if someone wants to use it.

Latinos dont generally use it themselves. It's more how out of touch people are. You got reamed because of it.
Latino here!
If you call me latinx I will think your are insulting both our intelligences!

Buddy, Portugal isn't in Latin America.
Well duh:rolleyes:...ofc not
It's in Latin Europe...or that makes me less of a Latino compared to a Hispanic descendent in Mexico or a Portuguese descendent in Brazil!?

Portugal and Spain generated Latin America. We are more latin than latin Americans (Ibero America would be more accurate though, Iberian powa! ), we look different to most latin Americans living in USA because we have not indian blood.

Returning the the main topic, trump victory even if somewhat predictable is not any less unbelievable. A pervert who openly evaded taxes, committed countless felonies, promoted rebellion against US democracy, and adviced people to inject bleach. USA is really messed up. Let's see how this ends, maybe Trump will try to lo pervert US democracy as his pals Orban, Putin and similar scum did. I wonder if that is possible in USA.

There's no such thing as Latin Europe, except to point out Latin is a dead language, and not what people mean when they're talking about "Latino". Or "Hispanic", which is different again (also, as I'm very sure you know, Portugal doesn't speak Spanish).

US weren't that much of a democracy to begin with. On a state level, yes, but on federal...nah. Too many issues. Russia, on the other hand, barely ever was democracy to begin with. Maybe, briefly, you could consider 1991 elections to be democratic, although they were still running off communist inertia and the only politicians were former communists, but the notion of actual Russian democracy already died in 1993. Putin merely finalized the process that begun then.

Unfortunately, the subversion is possible. It wasn't in his first term, but now Republicans have SCOTUS and both chambers of the Congress. They can pass almost any law by themselves, short of constitutional changes. They have a good starting position for a coup...

You typically don't do a coup against your own leader. And Vance will be likely in a very good position to be elected in 2028 unless the democratic party changes. I don't see the latter; look at how they already attacked Bernie for saying the obvious.

You think his gamer voters care about that when they have to pay $80-$100 for new titles?

They'll probably blame greedy corporations and leave it at that, but you bet there'll be a lot of crying. And those tears will be very delicious.

So now because of my lack of melanin I am less of a latino than a mexican!?
And yes there's a thing as Latin Europe, we are the true latin descendents, we inherited not only the language but also the culture and infrastructure of the Roman Empire (Iberian peninsula was firmly conquered and occupied by romans).
This new "latino" concept really rubs me of the wrong way, specially if someone uses it to exlude the real latino peoples.
And by the way I have some friends who are very much darker in skin tone. Or do you think that I look like someone from Sweden!?

Magicking up theories about melanin or "latin descendents" that have nothing to do with what anyone was talking about seems like the quintessential example of looking for something to complain about, in a US election thread.

That can't be right. I was told only leftists pursued made-up grievances to make others feel bad ;) You have fun with your wild theories.

On a different note, wouldn't the group termed as "latins/latin american" in the US, be more likely to have (compared to the US average) conservative values? Judging from the countries of their near or immediate ancestors.
There are some countries there that were very left, of course, but in those cases one can expect that the majority of immigrants actually were fleeing the political system, so again would be more to the right.

Honestly not sure. Really depends on the average, and more specifically, the immediate geography and historical context. Some of this stuff is rooted in religion, others in culture, some in both, and other demographics have these things in spades at times as well.

Indeed, this is one example how Democrats became out of touch with their constituents and lost because of it.
Latinos used to vote mostly Democrat not because of shared values, or because of some kind of loyalty to the party that was more friendly to their or their ancestors' immigration, but because Democrats used to be actual blue collar workers' party, and many Latinos are blue collar and generally low wage workers, so they voted for Dems out of practicality. When Democrats started dropping the actual care for workers in favor of the blue-haired activism, like the whole Latinx thing, they started ditching the Democrats in favour of a party that's more aligned with their values.
