Epic art is useful in both stories and orders. I remember using a picture of an alpine forest for one story about the First Exile in LINESII, and using a computer-generated jungle when detailing the discovery of new territory by Telerius in PureNES.

For general epic art purposes, Alan Lee and John Howe are great.
