-Franco Santos on the move! A series of private meetings and speeches have been pursued by local police and military forces relentlessly, though some speculate that with events in Port Erez, the resources to hunt this renegade down are severely limited. It's said he has given speeches across the whole of the island, even amid the fighting in Port Erez.

The radical Los Bravos group under the command of the traitor Paul DeNero attempted to seize control of the town over the past several weeks, launching a major attack against our innocent community. Farmers and militia launched an attack into the town, and were repulsed by our valiant soldiers in the local militia regiment. Vicious street fighting took place in the outskirts, but by the end of the battle, the rebels have been pursued into the jungle!

-Loch Ness Tanks? Rumors have reported a perhaps fictional organization known as the Detroit Weapon Supply Company far to the west. Statements have claimed that they are using surprisingly advanced tanks to threaten nearby trees and demand tribute from them. We are quite fortunate these probably fake tanks are lurking well away from us!
-Town Becomes a Battleground! The People's Liberation Movement has launched a full scale attack which has left our peaceful town torn asunder in warfare. The local militia has organized a stalwart defense against the attackers, retaining control of much of the northern part of the town. Enemy APCs have been occasionally neutralized by molotov cocktails and other improvised explosives. The enemy has grown increasingly overwhelmed by our valiant defenders as each day passes and their numbers decrease. Regardless, the mayor has called upon the government to send regulars to root out the remaining enemy strongholds

Jasonville Action News
-Local businessman Joseph Derrani has caused much rising of eyebrows among local leaders today, after a speech campaign filled with vague promises and notions questioned our beloved President's rule. As yet, he has not been charged with treason but remains under close supervision by our magnanimous local military forces.

-Heist succeeds on Nessos Road! Sources indicate that thieving elements of criminal society in our fair city have struck gold! An armored car convoy was hit by armored trucks and well armed soldiers, on board being gold specie carried from the local banks to the national bank in Nessos. No doubt the gold is being used for the most vile of purposes, and the innocent drivers were discovered brutally murdered by these bandits.
Justown Herald
-Streets awash with money and food! Volunteers from the so-called International Republic of Hacha have appeared in the streets, giving out free cash to all those who asked. Needless to say this act of superb generosity have caused many to announce their respect for these heroes, and money does buy happiness! The Church of Christ Our Saviour has continued to provide food for the masses as well, and many have become flush with wealth and substance as they continue to thrive in the region.
-Banditry on the roads! Mysterious attacks have been launched against innocent travelers on both roads leading into town. No survivors have reported in to any authorities, leaving us to believe that rebel terrorists are slaughtering men, women, and children. We must stand vigilant against those who threaten the stability of our nation under President Clarke!

-Valiant Government forces continue pursuit of rebels! After last month's successful suppression of a local rebellion, investigations have revealed the instigator to be one Hunter McNeil. The so-called Republican Guard have fled to the depths of the island to escape our avenging forces after their numerous atrocities against the local population. Dozens were left dead in the countryside as they cut a swathe of destruction in their futile attempt to escape justice.
Port Erez Statements
-War breaks out in the town! The mayor declared a state of emergency in our beleaguered town this month, as it came under threats from the dastardly leader of the Minutemen Defense Group, Robert Colt. Emergency response was immediately deployed from our neighboring city of Crezburg, including half of a local regular regiment. Despite heightened security, the MDG nearly overwhelmed our valiant defense, and only with the arrival of heavy support from Crezburg did the enemy get pushed out. The remnants of the enemy force have been mopped up, as our valorous air force continues patrols to locate the enemy base. The regulars have agreed to provided continued defense to our community until the threat is fully contained.

New rules have been added to the front page, involving city loyalty and stats. Also, I have beefed up the starting heavy equipment of the federal government.
I will say this, legitimate sources of income, which aren't criminal or military will take much longer to accumulate. The choice is yours: quick and easy, but people hate you, or patient and difficult, but you gain the support of the masses.
@warman: You could probably make pot on a large scale, but nothing else grows that well, so sorry.
@Terrance: I'd love to include the United Banana Workers, but are you actually NESing? It'll not be worth my time or anyone else's if you're just posting diplomacy without actually following up anywhere. Please, send me a private message, or change your signature, I'd just like to know what exactly you're up to with things.
Please have the name of your faction in your orders, it makes my life updating much easier.
@Vertinari: I'm afraid that the sort of sophisticated stuff is quite impossible. Mercenaries are better armed and organized, but only armed within their own standards. The thing about mercenaries is that they'll all possess their own equipment and therefore will rarely be standardized, and even if you did decide to buy that stuff for them, a mere 250 Credits won't buy it. The money spent has instead been banked. Also technicals are locally collected trucks which have been rudimentarily armed and equipped. Camouflage is reasonable, but don't expect too much from them.
I'll repeat: DO NOT underestimate the power of the central government.
