Expanded Dynamic Civ Names (EDCNs)

Italy as HRE vassal: Kingdom of Rome
Italy as Austria's vassal: Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia (maybe just Kingdom of Lombardy for in-game purposes)

HRE as vassal of ancien regime (running Tyranny, Dynasticism, City-States, or Theocracy) France: East Francia
HRE as vassal of France running Republic or Autocracy: Confederation of the Rhine

^ Nice. I will add these.

There is one problem though. Italy often does not control Rome. So Kingdom of Rome is perhaps less than accurate here. Perhaps Imperial Kingdom of Italy or Duchy of Milan is better.

Updated.

Additional and dynamic vassal names.

Byzantium now has a unique Islamic name: Sultanate of Rum

Persia now becomes Seleucid Empire if it's running Pantheon during the early Hellenistic Period.

I'm just saying that I think it makes sense to have it keep that name even if it becomes a vassal to the HRE.
I will make Italy Papal States if their capital is at Rome and they have fewer than 4 cities, no matter who its master is. Not just HRE.

Here: French vassal

Oh, right. I forgot that there's no Pope LH in DoC.

Since iirc now there's no stability hit for capital change, can you tie capital re-location to DCN too?
China's capital could be at Bianjing (Kaifeng) or Lin'an (Hangzhou) if it's Renaissance era but it's not yet 1400 AD :) #Song

What if those cities are not founded?

In general, DCN would depend on capital location (Arabia and Mongolia are the best examples here), not the other way around. In China's case, neither is true.

On the Papal States, shouldn't Italy also be a theocracy to have it, seeing as the Papal States was the Territory of the Pope.

wouldn't that be too specific? I think just adopting Catholicism as state religion and not empire is fine.
