Fascists Riot in Virginia

Trump said the 'pro-white' rally was bad but the other side was worse... Not in those words, I shouldn't use quotes.

a group of people were protesting the removal of a statute and it became a rallying cry for racists and their protest was met by a counter protest and both sides were armed. Apparently no shots were fired so I'm a bit stunned by that fact, but who started the fight? I have to blame the counter protesters, people should be allowed - permit(ted) - to assemble to express their grievances without another group showing up to fight.

ducks and runs

That's a pretty short paragraph that states a goal, not how the goal is achievable
Seems like your criticism is pretty useless
Portraying yourself as the lone voice of reason in a mad world that cannot be fixed

Valessa doesn't owe you a "solution".
In fact that she isn't offering you one is very much the point.

The main thrust of our (Continental critics of the Anglospherian Social Justice Left) argument is roughly this:
You have stopped doing politics in any normal fashion and arguably you have lost the ability to do so to some degree.
You call everybody names (racist, sexist, dunhamphobe) and you cite "facts" (kinda like the way Fox News cites "facts") and you misuse terms in symmetry to your namecalling (e.g. being obese, rich and famous on a magazine cover is now extremely brave and courageous).
While doing all that you have - apparently - lost most of your ability to actually argue, or maintain alliances for that matter.
You can't even do compassion anymore, so accustomed have you become to being prefectly right, deciding who the right people are and apllying 100% or 0% "empathy" accordingly in a quasi robotic fashion.

-

This was easy for a long time, pleasant and satisfying in the beginning, but now it's increasingly less effective.
In fact, you have to do it, excessively, just to barely keep afloat and draw in political oxygen.

In short you're addicts at (or past) the threshold between functioning and non-functioning.
Valessa can't give you a solution.
You have to get worse before you get better.

-

Like this thing here is perfect:
You can't even stay on message on this for two days. Like, i thought you were doing this now? Like, adult it for once? But no. You've spent two days being !ouraged! by... the timing of presidential remarks.
Like plowing all momentum into that has worked so well the last 28 times?
And now we are back at... racism in Dr. Seuss and Chelsea Handler calling for a military coup.
This is how addicts act.

Tell it to the 1930s.
You do realise that one of Germany's problems between '28 and '33 was that people were increasingly getting fed up with being caught in the middle between Nazi street thugs and Commie street thugs who were having derpy street fights all the time?

You do realise that the KPD and NSDAP frequently knowingly and willingly worked in the same direction and occassionally pretty much straight up cooperated up to and including events as late as the BVG strike in fall '32?
In case you want to protest that this was crazy: I remind you that communists in late 70s Iran did it too and with the same outcome.

You do realise that the worthless minions of this Spencer brat have at least the minimal intellectual fortitute to use appropriated terms such as "Lügenpresse" the way the people they mimic did, while the ignoramusses that make up the campus social justice left in America are so oblivious, such an embarrassment to any decent brick-trowing Central European Anti-Fascist that they have the complete blindness to walk around with the banner of the Iron Front, an organisation specifically intended to crush the likes of them for the sake of saving the god-damn Republic?
You do realise that?

And: No, no, no. Don't even dare claim that these are completely different groups of people and that we are talking about totally unrelated American anarchists now. The standard of proof here is not going to be dudes with an Iron Front flag walking right out of a liberal arts college safe space (even thought such proof may very well exist).
You know, because: Don't be ridiculous.

I'm not even sure which thread to post this stuff in anymore, but I just heard a little bit of Trump's press conference, and when asked about the events of Charlottesville, he noted that he owns one of the country's largest vineyards near Charlottesville. What a disgusting human being. "Narcissistic" doesn't even begin to describe him. The fact that he's the President of this country makes me want to vomit.

I think he did that to show his link to and affection for the community

edit: anyway, I was wrong to criticize Trump for Saturday's comments when he blamed both sides.

Probably.
His way of "having a black friend" appears to be owning property in places. Like, in general; he does that all the time.

The truth is that Unite the Right is proving to be a smashing success. The left are pushing way too hard on this, speeding up the alienation process of the average American. The Alt-Right is now more mainstream than ever, and we've proven to the nation that there are no arguments against us, only violence.

You seriously believe that the "alt-right" is about killing people? C'mon. You can see for yourself, none of the speakers at the event advocated for any kind of violence.

Isn't this the event with the guy driving the car? Like through a crowd?

The pro-choice crowd is winning me over, slowly, on one of their arguments with the Pope crowd. Namely capital punishment. The dude with the car isn't special, he isn't a snowflake, and he doesn't deserve a cage and his unwanted presence in our country for another several decades. He deserves 5 minutes worth of work with a backhoe in the dirt. And that only because it keeps down the smell.

Alot of the other people that were out that day probably deserve cages though. If not for this then for something else.

I think the more interesting question is whether the major deserves a cage for his incompetence and the way he endangered lives.

I didn't say they did, I just said they were stronger in the 30s before a bunch of Americans got killed because of Hitler. How do you think veterans and their kin feel about seeing these people walking around with swastikas?

Wow did those people pull that racist statue down with bare hands or was there mechanical action? That's a pretty impressive effort in any case!

A rope around one end of a statue act as a lever on the concrete at the base. So a simple machine.

Conveniently enough they filmed it. So hopefully some more cage time.

Seems like a great opportunity for a civil discussion to be had! Too bad it was denied to us by left-wing terrorists.

Yes i seriously believe that.
And their rhetoric, not necessarily in the specific event advocates violence.
There's association. There's ideological congruence.

It said in the WhiteQuran "you shall ploweth through the problem-glassed with thy charriot".
They said "you must follow the WhiteQuran".
He did.

You know what's worse than Trump being president? The fact that conditions exist in your country for him to become president.

You have stopped doing politics in any normal fashion and arguably you have lost the ability to do so to some degree.

Well, duh, all this 'cultural' stuff is in response to the destruction of the "actual" left in the 1970s and 80s. I thought everyone knew that?

Conveniently enough they filmed it. So hopefully some more cage time.

You think people deserve to go to jail for that?

Yes. Yes I do. But we'll see what the standing criminal code says and hopefully go with that.

That's certainly what the swastika flags mean.

Treason and rabid anti-Americanism pay well.
