[FfH II Art Team Blog]

I'm going to disagree with you guys about Losha. I just don't think its a high enough priority what with the dozens of regular units still using placeholder art, to run around tuning up the older stuff.
So you aren't, in fact, disagreeing with us. Of course Losha is low priority! It doesn't mean that we can't pine and wish for a new model! :p
Losha needs something. It looks as if her dress is as rigid as plate armor. It could be plate though. Maybe MC knows. And her shoulders are too wide considering how thin she is otherwise.

It is something that can wait though. At least until all archmagi are done.
I always thought that was just some kind of corset. She's kinda disproportional, but that comes with being a female aristocrat in the high courts. ;)

Okay, i made this, as a great library, or catacomb libralus, or something.

How do I texture it, please? (either instructions, or a good tutorial.)

I can't wait for patch Z and all the new art. What will you work on next?

Spoiler :
Any chance for a new Mobius Witch? :mischief:

The sheer amount of new graphics in the new patch is awesome. I've made a list and streamlined it so you can see what each civ will be getting.

Civilisation-Based
Bannor: Champion, Donal Lugh
Clan of Embers: Archmage
Doviello: Doviello Palace
Elohim: Corlindale
Infernals: Infernal Palace
Khazad: Dwarven Smithy
Ljosalfar: Druid, Mage (old Mage moved to Archmage)
Luchuirp: Alduria Chamber, Archmage, Blasting Workshop, Pallens Engine
Mercurians: Herald, Ophanim, Repentant Angel
Sidar: Sidar Palace
Svartalfar: Marksman, Svartalfar Palace

Religion-Based
Ashen Veil: Stigmata on the Unborn, Temple of the Veil
Council of Esus: Gibbon Goetia
Empyrean: Chalid Astrakein, Ratha
The Order: Code of Junil, Temple of the Order
Runes of Kilmorph: Tablets of Bambur, Temple of Kilmorph

Miscellaneous
Buildings: Spider Pen
Wonders: Soul Forge

Basically, whatever you play as, you're probably going to have some new stuff to play with next patch!

Ljosalfar: Druid, Mage (old Mage moved to Archmage)

I wonder why the old Ljos mage is moved to archmage. To me, it seems like the original inention of the models was more appropriate.

About half of the new art in patch z isn't from sez, but ripped from Kohan II

That said, Sezereth has been VERY busy. There's a lot of new original art in there too.

But anyway, I just dropped in to say that the Amurite Immortal model is awesome.
And also, wondering if there are any plans to redo Gilden Silveric at some point. He's...ok, but not fantastic.

For the Lanun I always envisioned old Gypsies to be their mages or younger Gypsies as adepts and then older ones as Mages and so on.

What to gypsies have to do with the Lanun?

Thematically? A similar mindset. Granted, they kind of straddle the line between the Balseraphs and the Lanun who, IIRC, are geographically quite close and easily could have influenced each other's cultures. But the theme of being wandering rogues and tricksters who range from misunderstood to genuinely dangerous is a common enough thread I could honestly justify gypsies being used as Balseraph AND Lanun magic lines.

Actually, it has been stated that many sorcerers took to the worship of Danalin in the Age of Magic to help protect themselves from the power of Bhall. As such, I'd expect that many of them would have joined the Lanun of that age.

When I think Pirates and the Arcane, I think more along the lines of voodoo. I think more of the African-derived Caribbean superstitions than of the European Roma. A certain character from Pirates of the Caribbean comes to mind.

That suits very well their affinity to OO as in Lovecrafts most famous story "Call of Cthulhu" voodoo priests try to summon Great Cthulhu to the world and chant the most famous words "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn." or "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.".

I'd really hate it if Lanun were tied to either some kind of jungleesque voodooism or gypsie charlatané (yeah, I made that word up).

What would be interesting, from my point of view, would be to tie the Lanuns to a europeanized (made that up too!) voodooism. I'm thinking decisively westernized pirates, with magic; skulls, badly fitting clothes, strange reagents hanging from containers and hooks, etc. I get the image in my head of a mage that no self-respecting scholar ever could take seriously. Drunk off his arse so frequently that no-one can tell the difference wheter or not he's actually insane or just peculiar.

A Jack Sparrow with skulls and magic? :crazyeye:

I really like this idea for Lanun Mages... the Adepts are only slightly tipsy, mages more so, while archmages are drunk off thier arses... :p and look it.
