[FfH II Art Team Blog]

Nah. SeZ is a man, he makes wonderful models and animations PLUS cool textures. And I am sure he makes models for other purposes.
I am a true amateur, all I did was just for FFH and it was my learning time too.
I don't have skills of animation yet and my texturing skills are so-so, so don't tell blasphemy. Still I am glad to hear you like my style :).

Awesome, great job!

:blush::blush::blush::mischief:

This makes me to want to make something else :).

A calabim Governors Manor would be awesome. I havent liked anything in Kohan's undead set for it. Try to match Roland's Calabim palace design in a cool manor house.

BtW I did have to resize the texture. A 1Mb 1024x1024 texture for a building isn't going to work. I dropped it to a 22k 128x128 texture (thats still massive for a building).

Is it in FfH that Lion dens are taken from Zoo Tycoon 2? Or is that in FF or Orbis?

I played Sid Meier's Pirates recently, and was confused when I saw a Barrow, Lizardmen ruins, and the Broken Sepulcher...

Well, I didnt ever create models or textures for anything else than CIV :) I actually learned it in the process of modding. so, yea all I did was just for FfH and some other mods and it is my learning time as well ;)

But in one point you are right, I do it now around the second year for FfH, so in a way i´m no amateur anymore, but faaaaar away from anything a professional could do as well ;)

So, keep on modelling and texturing and try to improve from model to model, etc.
good job on the pillar of chains!

Scale is the same.

Given the first in-city pic and a couple of past projects I found myself wondering about the splatter radius of a body dropping up in the pillar under a set of reasonable assumptions. After a little research I determined that the answer isn't worth doing more research... but rest assured the thing's a threat to public safety.

The new pillar of chains looks hilarious and grimdark at the same time. In other words, perfect! I absolutely love it! :D

I'll make sure to pass the message along to Flauros. We'll be sure to send a representative over to put your mind at ease. :)

An utterly random thought has just occured to me. The Balseraphs *have* to have a midget as one of their units - even if its just a shaved dwarf.

it might be quite apt for an assasin.
Is that place already taken by something else for them?

Yeah, by the Taskmaster unique unit. Here's what the Bals have left:

Arcane: Mage, Archmage
Archery: Archer, Longbowman, Crossbowman, Arquebus, Marksman
Cavalry: Horseman, Chariot, Horse Archer, Knight
Melee: Berserker, Immortal, Phalanx
Recon: Beastmaster

Hmm...Archery and Cavalry are untouched. The idea of a midget on a horse, or with a giant longbow/crossbow/gun might be just surreal enough to work...

also, morning WarKirb, your up early :)

Seeing as how the current taskmaster is a reskinned maceman, I would vote in favor of replacing it with a midget, preferably with a whip. I know this probably won't happen, but it would be awsome!

Wow, Sez made an Orcish Paladin model....

Could we possibly see it?

Doesn't seem like something that would get much use. like a demonic Confessor model. Or an Angelic Eidolon.

I really hope he will make a Svartalfar Paladin (even if its the last one a long time in the future). It just seems like the kind of unit you could get really creative with as it's going to look different compared to both normal Paladins and normal Svartalfar units.

I didnt put a svartalfar paladin on the art list because i assumed they could share the ljosalfar paladin model. Id rather have a svartalfar beastmaster model.

along these lines, are there any plans for a new Eidolon model?

The current one is a bit meh. Looks like a retextured roman legionary. The tiny shortsword they carry doesn't look particularly scary or demonic. I think they'd be better off with a large two handed sword, and no shield
