Laughter is brave. How about a deal? We give whoever wants them all the wonderful wonderful people from The Daily Show who just do a super job, past and present, but they have to take Trump and a Bush too.

I have issues parsing your sentence. :l

It's probably my fault, yes. Kinda tired.

Oh, I just mean I'd be happy to give you free of charge John Stewart and all his bastard media offspring and our Assclown in Chief. Take one of the Bush's for good measure. ;)

But don't feel bad for laughing if you need it. Nothing is funny when everything goes right and according to plan. That's not what laughter is for.

Ah like that. Well, I dislike the heavy bias of Comedy Central's politics, and sometimes they are quite poignant, but yea, you can keep all of that. :p

Seriously, keep it. I already have enough issues as it is.

But yea, might laugh a bit sometimes.

Lt Guv of Georgia threatened Delta Airlines because they wont continue discounts for NRA members. What happened to free speech in this country? These politicians act like the government is their fiefdom.

I think you misinterpreted who is acting like they own the fiefdom. The NRA aren't politicians. Nice to see some Republicans shed any pretense that the NRA doesn't own them outright though.

You either support the NRA or you support the Terrorists!

Now a father of a survivor got busted altering an email from a CNN producer to his kid with 'scripted' questions. He says the omission of words refuting the accusation was not malicious.

Forgiveness is super hard. I'm not sure I'm ready. Signing up to protect kids, then failing to try in any form when actually needed? That's super rough, and I think that's the reality of the specific.
Plus the thing about forgiveness is you need that first step... for the guy to say "I'm so sorry and ashamed for how bad I effed up and I hope that people especially the families of the people and children who died can forgive me"... as opposed to... "Well I thought the shooter was outside!" or "I was by myself and I had no idea where the gunman was! I could've been killed what do you want from me?" or "I was assessing the situation!" or "It wouldn't have made any difference!" or "No comment" or "I quit!" or "I'm being scapegoated!" or...

Gallows humor is real, and possibly the most necessary humor of all.

Yeah, and if Delta Airlines threatened to pull out of Georgia as retaliation for his retaliation, that Lt. Governor would quite literally be murdered on the way to his car... Delta Airlines could end that state with a pull out. The City of Atlanta would have tumbleweeds blowing down the streets in six months without Delta Airlines.

Also, if anything, this clip of Rubio talking is on point and kind of funny.

Link to video.
Two highlights... Rubio fumbling through trying to explain how pointless banning the AR-15 is because any such law would be so easy to work around that the only way to make it work would be to ban ALL assault rifles... which resulted in immediately deafening applause from the audience... the look on Rubio's face when he realizes that he isn't speaking to CPAC or an NRA convention is hilarious.

Second is the school principal leading a gun training/active shooter drill for his teachers, being told that one of the teachers in the drill actually shot a student cutout instead of the gunman cutout... and his reaction is basically "Meh, acceptable collateral damage" :dubious:Dude seriously? :shake:

Assault rifle. It's an interesting terms.

It's not just you and not just that sentence.

We already have a problem with trigger happy cops gunning down innocent people. Do we really think arming yet more people to do police work is the solution here? This is madness. I can see the day when 13 year old Jamareay gets in a fist fit with another kid, accidentally decks a teacher (seen it happen more than once) and gets two bullets for it.

Apparently Texas has a program to arm teachers and they require the teachers to keep them within easy reach but under lock and key...unless 'no children are in the room'. Yeah that's a brilliantly thought out safeguard. Really this is all just the height of hysterical madness. I can't think of a propaganda campaign nearly as effective as the NRA's in living memory.

Zero-Tolerance meets Shoot-to-Kill with all teachers carrying guns. What could possibly go wrong?

I agreed with everything in your post except this. We do not have a problem with trigger happy cops. As it was astutely pointed out to me in the thread about asset forfeiture laws, our perception of things is heavily influenced by what stories the media decides to report. The discussion in that thread was about drug dogs. When I refuted the claim that drug dogs a inaccurate by saying they always seem to find drugs on the people the dogs alert on, it was pointed out to me that it only seems that way because we only hear about the success stories while all the times the dogs are wrong are ignored and swept under the rug.

It's the same with police shootings. The media only reports a police shooting when something goes wrong and they shoot an innocent person. What you never seem to hear about though are all the times the shooting was legitimate. You know what else never gets reported in the media? The thousands upon thousands of interactions between citizens and police that take place daily across the nation that do not result in any kind of violence whatsoever.

I wonder if consumers are better at controlling corporate behavior than voters

Probably not, for the exact same reasons...most of them can't be bothered, and the ones who can be can't make enough impact because they are a negligible minority.

What you never seem to hear about though are all the times the shooting was legitimate.

You mean the ones where a court has ruled the person guilty of a crime meriting the death penalty and ordered the sentence imposed?

Oh.

Wait.

Yeah, there's a reason we never hear about those...because they don't happen.

Posting videos without any context is considered spam, espeically in an RD thread.
I wont be posting any more video-content in this thread. Where is the video footage from the school supporting official narrative? Deleted. Lol.
