News for Each Region
North America
As they summer months dragged on, both the HiGrax and the Box put up great sales. The HiGrax broke its previous sales records easily, and while the Box only tied its previous sales record, it was still selling nearly double the amount the HiGrax was. Sales of both consoles can be somewhat attributed to large amount of high quality games released.
Zabriskie Entertainment was busy during the summer months, but they were working on any games. Instead they successful extended their markets to include Europe and increased their employee morale. They also conducted some research into better game design. (+Europe Market, +Employee Morale)
Mann Entertainment on the other hand, was very busy starting and completing Crystal Chronicles II in just a few months. The game turned out to be a great success at retail, but it was marked down in many reviews for its numerous bugs which were most likely a result of the rushed development. Many fans also took advantage of the offer for a 10% discount on the upcoming Silent Service game.
Big Time Entertainment released their first game, Homicide Cop, to great success. It was one of the big factors behind HiGrax's sales jump, and it was widely agreed to be one of the best games released so far. (+1 Fan Base Size)
Similarly, Canal Entertainment released Mushroom Men. It was a solid game as well, and it sold quite well. After the success of Mushroom Men, there are already some rumors that a sequel is planned.
Europe
The sales race in Europe between the Box and the HiGrax was neck and neck until they last few weeks of the quarter, where the Box barely edged out its competition. The big news in Europe however was big new sales record that Xanea II put up. The game was widely popular, and production of it couldn't keep up with the higher than expected demand, so it quickly sold out. The game was very hard to find outside of Europe as well, mostly because very few copies of it were shipped there.
Avalon Games' profits were up because of the success of Xanea II, and they were expected to rise even more quite soon. Avalon also spent time researching better physics and AI for use in games and they succeeded in finding better code for AI.
TeaTime Inc. added as much of Asia as was possible to its available markets. (+Asia Market)
Spire Entertainment released World War Strategy, and while it did quite well on the market, it only faired so-so review wise.
Japan
The HiGrax dominated the scene in Asia, selling more units there than it had even during the holiday season. Ouson in particular continued to sell well despite the fact it had been released in the begging of the year. Box did decently, but is suffered a shortage of games, as the highly anticipated was hard to find.
GawShang became the first company to develop for the upcoming Camelot console when they worked on porting From Up to Down 1 and 2 to it. Both games will now be available on launch day for the system.
Australia
Connections Games finished developing the first game, Showdown, but they decided not to release it yet.
OOC: Sorry, LightFang, it was a bit late to change anything by the time you mentioned not sending orders.
