Preturn: God, I hate regular units as much or even more than Lee does. I toy with the idea of swapping the archer build in Salamanca to a settler but I leave it alone. I drop the lux tax to 10 and up sci. to 90. Wheel in 11.
IBT: Nada
Turn 1: 2110 B.C. Nada, just move a worker.
IBT: Salamanca Archer > Archer. One more, then a settler.
Turn 2: 2070 B.C. Move archer to check out the hills west of the capital.
IBT: Nada.
Turn 3: 2030 B.C. NF goes to pop 2. Rax in 7.
IBT: Nada.
Turn 4: 1990 B.C. Scoping out the hill country. Sala to pop 6. Can go high food this turn and still finish the archer. Lux to 20%. Man, its been a long time since Ive played at Monarch and had the benefit of 2 peeps happy by default.
IBT: Salamanca Archer > Settler
Turn 5 1950 B.C. Have to drop sci to 70 due to unit cost with new archer. 0 gold and -1 flow isnt good.
IBT: Nada.
Turn 6: 1910 B.C. Hit coast to the west. Heading back home.
IBT: SOS
Turn 7: 1870 B.C. Go higher food in Sala so it will grow and complete settler same turn.
IBT: Blah
Turn 8: 1830 B.C. Just realized why its so quiet. CivAssist II says they have had workers for sale for several turns. They are hiding in the capital, which means they must be at war with someone else!
IBT: Salamanca Settler > Rax. Niagara Falls Rax > Spear. Feel free to veto, especially the rax in Sala.
Turn 9: 1790 B.C. Move settler towards Lees coastal dot. We might even get a tech popping the hut with a city. We wont get barbs popping it that way, thats for sure.

Lux back to 10%, but have to leave sci at 70%. Wheel due in 3. Actually wheel still in 3 with sci at 50%. +4 gpt. Hell, we gonna be rich.
IBT: Nada.
Turn 10: Settler is in position to found city. 2 workers are improving a FP at NF. The one roading started a turn after the one irrigating, so they should finish at the same time.
Those Mongol workers are no longer for sale, so we may be having company before long.
Here is the
