Sadly, I don't speak Spanish, but apparently it's so unnotable that no one thought to write about it in English?

That said, I'll take "Scotland and England attacking each other" as a suitable fudge for "Britain invading itself". :)

To the British it might be a minor thing but to the Brazilian/Portuguese at the time it was a huge thing.

Also, being on Wikipedia doesn't mean that the general British public is aware of any particular colonial adventurette, n'est ce pas?

Oh, this could be so misinterpretable as a SatW comic.
 
How about car ownership? The lighter European countries might just have more PT culture
 
Darker blue= better? (ie is the rate something positive?)

Whether a higher rate is better or not, is a matter of personal taste and opinion...
It is more something kind of inevitable with side effects
