How did Armenia move so much from where it was to where it currently is?
Can I see some other examples of nations moving like this?

Paraguay did an interesting shift to the NW. It lost half of its territory to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil in the 1860s, but then took 1/3 of Bolivia in the 1930s to make up for it.

This may not count, but the name given to what is today the state of Ghana is a Western mistake: the Ghana people were much farther inland and to the Northwest, closer to southern Mali than where the present state of Ghana is.

They didn't actually move that far, they just shrank from their old peak (due to the aforementioned reasons, like Russia and the Ottoman Empire, as well as earlier losses in the medieval warm period, and of course the loss of independence for centuries to the Roman and Sasanian states probably had something to do with it, though even under those empires Armenians thrived, especially in the Byzantine one, where Armenians got to be emperor many times over). Old major centers like Armavir are still under their control. The temporary hegemony of Tigran II over the ANE isn't really an accurate description of "where Armenia was". :p

While that would work in any other situation, I want actual people with actual experience. Plus, its an ahistorical NES, but it still needs something realistic. :p

well de Gaulle comes to mind obviously - a right wing imperialist I'd say.

EDIT: oops - scrap that - you did specify Vichy didn't you. In that case don't forget Petain as the leader.

Anyone have a list of Vichy French officers?
Henri Dentz, commander of the Army of the Levant; Admiral Jean-Marie Charles Abrial, one of the ministers of the Navy; Paul Touvier, a particularly vicious Nazi collab in the ministry of justice and buddy of Klaus Barbie; Charles Huntziger, a minister of war and commander of the Second Army in the Battle of France; François Darlan, admiral and sometime prime minister for Pierre Laval, who collaborated with the Allies in North Africa after some pushing. I daresay Wiki will have far more.

Thanks. Yeah, I found a bunch on Wiki via searching Google. :)

Should help in Hitlerslegacy NES.

I believe there have been in Haiti. That's where the zombie legend was adopted to western culture slightly changed.

Was the Expedition of the Thousand mainly motivated by Italian or Sardinian Nationalism?

A combination of the former with opportunism.

So what's the deal with Hermann Göring? At times he seemed like a lumbering oaf who couldn't care less what happened to Germany, yet at other times he seemed to be one of the most intelligent and cunning people in the Third Reich.

On the latter: really? I mean really?

Everyone thought of him as an absoluter buffoon with little grasp of reality and an ego the size of his gut.

In fact, it was only in the psychological evaluations at Nurnberg that aby kind of sensecame out of him.
