How is your EU3 Game going?

King Eric VII Gryf, True Emperor of Rome

:eek:
now that's something!

1711 in my game as Brandenburg->Prussia->Germany

This is my first time forming Germany, and god are those free cores/reconquest cbs beautiful, I managed to gobble up all of my Western and Austrian territories in about 20 years without taking any infamy. Also, as to be expected, I'm the big man on campus. I can field twice as many troops as the next guy, and my income is 2 or 3 times Burgundy's, who is the next highest. Speaking of Burgundy, I've now fought 3 wars with them since forming Germany, and in each one I managed to thoughtless level all of their armies without even batting an eye, which is really satisfying considering how much I had to tiptoe around both Burgundy AND Austria while I was Brandenburg/Prussia. At present I declared war on Austria to gobble up some more territories and my longtime ally GB declared war on me due to a guarantee they made to Austria. The war became the first moderately major war I've fought so far with Portugal and Bohemia on my side versus Austria, GB, Navarre, and like Auvergne or somesuch. I'm intent on converting GB, but sadly I've neglected my navy all these years, and though I had like 60 large ships, about 80% of them were outdated, and as such, annihilated in the first battle with GB's navy. I want to convert Britain, so I'm now in the process of building a superfleet of my own to go wipe out GB.

Also dat Korea.

A massive Hungary meeting a massive Korea.

What an odd combination.

France is totally overpowered in my game, every time England manages to reconquer the various nations on the isles France invades and makes them release all of them again. That is whenever they have a navy (I made sure to take revenge upon their navy in the war Byzantium dragged me into, before France's allies left the war one by one they had over 200,000 troops, and it was barely past 1500!). France is MASSIVE! They have all of France and most of northern Italy, they are expanding into Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

Thankfully they didn't have much of a navy and I helped crush them with help from our "beloved" Empress of Byzantium's imperial navy, then sent a healthy dose of insults so I can break free of this PU.

On the plus side I am the only one colonizing the Americas yet.

If they're expanding that quickly, into those areas unlawful penalties are going to kill them. I wonder what their infamy is.

France will not get infamy from unlawful territories because it is not in the HRE.

Really? I seem to recall playing as Scandinavia and getting infamy penalties from gobbling up Pommerania.

I am quite sure and the province modifier from 5.1 is:

Code:
unlawful_territory = {
	local_manpower_modifier = -0.5
	local_revolt_risk = 10
	local_tax_modifier = -0.33
	icon = 12
}

No badboy here.

But this static modifier is only for princes of the HRE:

Code:
#for each non-core if in the empire, and also a prince.
occupied_imperial = {
	badboy = 0.25
	prestige = -0.01
}

As Venice, I got some unlawful territory penalties, so it definitely affects non-HRE nations.

I think, if the province leaves the empire quick enough, the effect won't happen.

Yea, playing as Mantua, even after I left the HRE, I got those penalties. But as long as you burn the magistrate to remove the province from the HRE (within a year or two...) you won't incur the penalty.

All countries get the province modifier but only princes of the HRE get the static modifier, like I posted earlier.

I've successfully got Holland to form the Netherlands! :D

France used to be a really powerful beast, but Bavaria (the Emperor) managed to pwn them badly, with several other countries DoWing and sieging France, including me - By the time France managed to achieve peace with all her enemies, she had released Guyenne, Armanac, Foix, Normandy, Flanders, Modena, Berry and Parma, and gave part of NE Italy to Austria. I plan on eventually conquering Flanders and selling the 2 Western-most provinces of it to Normandy, but Bavaria is still allied to them, so I can't attack.

My state religion is Catholic, but most of my provinces are Protestant, I want to be Reformed, and am full Innovative. I'm not sure whether my next idea should be QftNW or Divine Supremacy (My current ideas are National Trade Policy, National Bank, Shrewd Commerce Practice and Merchant Adventures).

Dat Hansa. What happened there?

QFTNW if Castillia/Portugal don't own half of America already.
