Ottoman Empire, 1466

Ottoman Italy has started to form! I had to occupy Apulia to get Hellas, but after I took it I could have both, so I figured, why not? Catholicism was obviously a problem, so I sent a missionary, got lucky, and converted it on the first try. The Pope must not be too happy about that. Then I took Constantinople (at last), as well as their ally The Knights. By 1460 I had my current boundaries.
My next mission was to take Adana, from the Seljuk Turks who had rebelled against The Knights earlier (The Knights having previously taken Adana). Unfortunately, they put up a mighty good defence, and in the end I was forced to make peace both due to war exhaustion and their army looting my territory (never could completely eliminate their army, just decrease it piecemeal). General Winter didn't help, either. Guess that'll have to come later.
In the west, France is looking to be a power, what with having part of the HRE and all, and to the east Muscovy has capitalized on the implosion of the Golden Horde. The Timurids are still strong overall, but Transoxania has managed to become independent.
Incidentally, does anyone know if it's even worth trying to be chummy with the western Europeans? They all hate me now but an ally might be good to have in the future.
