How is your EU3 Game going?

Four PUs, Three vassals (One of which is Burgundy), Emperorship, an heir with 7/8/6 stats and three away from being married to every possible country in Europe. :smug:

Dude. You're Austria.

I'm playing Death & Taxes from 1356, but I usually find PUs about as rare as in vanilla there.

Cross-Post. I just did marry Europe. Deal with it. :king:

Having heard awesome things about it I was going to dl Death and Taxes, but that screenshot's making me think twice.

D&T is worth DL, if only for the map and the fact that the Americas and Japan aren't completely terrible. And PUs are fairly exploitable, as naggy demonstrated in a Bar HttT AAR he did (it got diminished in DW, but it's still rather applicable).

Still playing my France game, I recently declared war on some country (I forgot which), which launched me into a massive war against the Holy Roman Empire. I beat back Bavaria and Austria and managed to get quite a few extra provinces. My colonization is also doing quite well, most of the eastern seaboard is mine and I've strentched inland. My tech is the highest in the world and nobody is really coming all that close. I have almost twice my support limit for land troops but it's not making that huge of a dent in my economy.

I'm kinda diasappointed in Britain, they can't even keep their island unified and their colonization isn't all that extensive.

EDIT: I started the war with Austria to get Provence and Cuneo.

Why the hell are you rooting for Britain! You should be rooting for Wales! It's way less boring than those crappy ole' brits anyway!

I'm not rooting for them, I just expected better from the cocky people who said "Oh, your empire is nice, but the sun never sets on ours" Wales was doing even better before, it's a shame they've been beaten back.

Finally actually expanded in my Holland game:

Just inherited OPM Oldenburg, 3PM Friesland and Naples all at once. Well worth waiting 3 monarchs for. With 4 uncored provinces though, I expect my tech lead to drop enough that Latin tech countries won't be able to westernise off of me. :p :D

Any tips for getting Utrecht for that Netherlands formation? I haven't had a CB on them all game, but Austria (the emperor) is at war with France at the moment so I could probably get away with just annexing them and taking the 8 infamy; it'd kill my trading for 10 or so years but I'd probably get through it.

Risky because the emperor may still intervene. I would try the fabricate claims approach, or the royal marriage/claim throne combo if possible. Then, annex instead of taking whatever is marked down under those CBs.

I personally wouldn't annex them with a claim throne CB. You can likely inherit them under 50 years, and you won't have any revolts/infamy to deal with.

True, I forgot they changed the rules so that you gain cores on inheritance in your culture group.

Utrecht is an archbishropic AFAIK, so they can't marry.

It could have been conquered and released as a monarchy, the poster didn't mention so I figured I would list it as an option.
