How is your EU3 Game going?

D&T is hell, the AI will be very powerful...at least on Very Hard + Historical Lucky nations (You should use at elast historical lucky)

DAO will also have strong AIs, check my Brandenburg -> Prussia post...

Today I started a Papal States game. It was going good (won a was against Ubrino with help from Naples), but then DOW'd Ferra and all hell broke loose. My lesson: cascading alliances are weird and can hurt :( (I was against Milan, Hungary (and vassals), Bohemia and some other countries).

Any help on another Papal States game?

NOTE: Naples annexed Ubrino (they were war leader, and started the war)

Declare war and annex Urbino day 1. Warn and guarantee a bunch of northern Italian states. Get good relations with the emperor and add Rome to the HRE. Destroy relations with every large Catholic country once you're big enough in order to get permanent Papal control (insider trading ).

Yesterday I started a game with Castile. The first thing I did was build up my army and went to war with Granada. Then Navarra and Aragorn. What really irritated me was that there were countless revolts whilst I tried to take Aragorn. Aragorn offered me a peace deal, where I took all their provinces except their capital. I took it, and took care of the revolts. After the revolts, there was still a truce between us, so I went for Africa. After taking some of Morocco, I made a truce, and I immediately went for Aragorn. After defeating them, I had united Spain under one banner. But I had to wit until 1474 until it was official.
So I went for Morocco. Tripoli also declared war on me. I took one of their provinces. A revolt in Morocco made a new country called Fez, and they declared war on me. After taking their capital, they offered me peace, some of their provinces and they would be my vassal. This is what the map looked like.

Finally it was 1474 but I still could not unite Spain because I was at war with the Shawnee because Portugal (my trusty ally through all this) asked for my help. I was so impatient I finally gave the Shawnee 300 ducats for peace. Then Spain became one!

Then I decided to take the rest of Africa. I declared a Holy War on Morocco, and Tripoli and Tunisia declared war on me. After annexing Tripoli and Tunisia I made Morocco my Vassal. (Portugal took the only other province of Morocco.) Now my great nation looks like this.

Everything in North Africa is mine, whether Province or Vassal (Except Portugals little one). The only other nation left is the Mameluke.

It looks like its the time to vasalize France now...:)

So, D&T starting as Florence in 1356, Very Hard + Historical Lucky Nations and the 5.2 beta patch

Austria is PU, were my allies before that :D

Yes, i kicked the Mamluk advance on Europe and took their lands on the balkans, later these would compose the Tuscan territories of Bulgaria and Romania :)

Now :

Just so that you know, Great Britain had between 250 and 300 ships before that war, 92~ of these being Big ships...
Seems like my superior technology (and all-caravels 40 ships navy) won me the war, combined with good leadership, of course :)

This is the result :

It is clear that my naval dominance was assured for some years, later GB rebuilt its fleet, but i don't think they would win against me on sea, on land however... (They have almost 300.000 soldiers  They converted Spain (their old allies) and France to protestant as well :()

Ukraine was a random PU, i never desired it, however now they might be used as a base of power on Crimea

Europe :

Yes, it started as OPM Wallachia that i annexed and released (they were muslims, so i released them as catholic vassals), then i built it from there, making them own everything they own atm, that was enough to form Romania.

I'm fast approaching the end of my Roman Empire game but now I've been wanting to play a Muslim country again, Hedjaz primarily. Does MEIOU or Death and Taxes or another mod have a national decision to form some Pan-Arabic nation like Byzantium does with the Roman Empire?

D&T has Arabia as formable

...in mycurrent game on IN as Milan to Italy, I started colonizing. Grain Coast decides to produceIvory. Ivvory Coast then decided to produce grain.
My face: :twitch:

Progress a bit with my Roman Empire game. The war with Austria came and amazingly I won an overwhelming victory! I regret joining the HRE as I got an infamy penalty from owning unlawful territory. The Polish and Bohemia were a fantastic help with dealing with Austria. However, after I left the HRE, Bohemia betrayed me when I tried to take over Hungary. I think I might be able to annex Austria before 1836!

Your borders are gross and unRoman. So is your flag.

Those borders are pretty similar to those of the Justinian restoration.

So, when's that apocalyptic war with Poland going to start?

Once I feel the HRE is sufficiently neutered but even then I might not be able to get to Poland before the end. I figure I could ally with Russia north of Poland to put the squeeze on them when the time comes.
