I know some of you are applying for uni this year. So how many have rejected you? And conversely how many have accepted you?

I've gotten 5 rejections and 3 acceptance so far. I'm waiting for two more.

I probably shouldn't have applied to so many high end uni's....ah well.

No universities, but 9 secondary schools after I got expelled from my first one. but eventually got back

Well I just heard from another one. They rejected me as well. So make that 6 rejections, 3 acceptance, a 1 pending. YAY!

I got into all 5 that I applied to...but I regret not applying to some that might have been "a reach"...I bet I could have gone to some place nicer than I ended up.

I apply for Law School this year, and I'm sure that I won't get into every one I apply to

When I applied to be an undergraduate, I was rejected by two universities, offered conditional places by two, and the fifth I can't remember. I only appled internally for my PhD., and was accepted for that. After my PhD., I applied for postdoctoral positions, and I have been rejected by some of the greatest chemists in the world.

Three unconditional offers and three conditional ones, and accepted into all of them :yeah:

I have applied to 6 total, being accepted at 4.

As a freshman, I was accepted at:

University of Notre Dame
University of North Carolina
University of Utah
UCLA
University of Dayton

And was rejected at Duke University.

Having withdrawn from Notre Dame for two years, I had to reapply. I got accepted again, but couldn't make it that semester. So I re-reapplied, and was once again accepted. Meanwhile, I was rejected by Brigham Young University, to whom I had applied as backup.

I had 3 applications, In 2 I made exams succesfully and in 3th I wasnt making exam because it was only reserve.

I applied to 2 (back then):

One accepted me for one program (which I'm in right now), and rejected me for a lesser program of the same kind
The other accepted me.

In the future Harvard, Yale, all the other good law schools that I apply for will accept me. In fact they will mail ME first.

I have yet to be rejected from an university I've applied to.

I have an application outstanding with GW university for a post-grad economics program. Shouldn't be an issue. So easy two, I'm all of 3 blocks away when I'm at work.

Where I've been accepted:
Georgia Institute of Technology, 80% funded via a package of scholarships, remainder funded through work-study program. I went there since it was free.

Washington University, St. Louis, undergrad, 50% scholarship to off-set out of state costs. Still was expensive

Harvard University. Applied to just for giggles. Got in. Forget the scholarship amount, but it was less than 50%. Didn't really want to go up North.

MIT. Accepted, no scholarships

For graduate school, I was accepted at UT-Austin with a partial, NYU with no support (BOOO!) and GMU with 50% support.

When I applied I got unconditional offers at all of them. Course I'm doing Physics, and my grades were...errr Higher than required.

from what I gather I probably would have been better served at least applying to Cambridge :( I'm annoyed with myself for NOT applying, so people who are treading a line and getting some offers and some rejections are I think doing the best for themselves.
