just thought but, how do you think the US should treat the millions of illeagals that enter this nation every year from Mexico and Cuba.

i acully belive we should imprison them for a year or 2 and then ship them back.

Keep 'em, register 'em, give them some sort of legal permission.

And as for me personally, well, treat them like human beings.

Of course, I interact directly with illegals more than most people.

I deal with them alot myself, i treat them like humans, but im so sick of them being here and taking jobs from honest hard working Americans.

All assets siezed and imediate deportation to their home country at the cost to the home country. They should be treated like the criminals they are.

While not totally unfair, I'm curious as to how we'd get the home country to pay for the expenses? I don't think they'd be motivated.

Considering we gave 2x more aid to central/south America (in the range of 16billion IIRC) taking it away, taking it away is preaty good incentive. If they don't comply simply stop giving them money. Either they give us back the cost or they give us back all of it.

Would you rather lose a million or two a year of several billion?

That only for south of the boarder others like asians and euros would need a different tactic. But out of the tens of millions of illegals a small percent are from asia and europe.

Mexico is already paying to ship them here illegally, so I doubt they're going to hand over money to ship them back.

Fine them and then toss them back across the border. If they try again, double the fine.

There was a story on about how a town in Texas(Or maybe AZ or NM) decided to give illegals a few months in prison, and the rate of attempted border crosings has gone down significantly, but I can't seem to find it.

It use to be a hot bed because the courts gave them a summins and sent them on their way. They showed video of dozens walking across golf courses waiting to get caught. That town is also expanding its prison to accomadate the extra inmates.

What would Jesus do?

My only strong opinion on the matter is that I love the name "Operation Return to Sender". Genius, I tell you. Genius.

You want to pay for their room and board?

We are not going to be able to simply hold them back forever.

The solution to the immigration problem rests in the stimulation of the Mexican economy in such a way that would make a more hospitable economic environment for those born there.

However how exactly I don't know...

Until then we need to beef up security, but I would try to stay away from imprisonment...

Drink a coke.

Mexico can have its own economy with out being stimulated by the US. Its to corrupt to do that.
