I usually walk if the distance is less than 10 km and I have the time, otherwise I take public transportation.

My "getting around" ability is rather limited. I split it between walking and cabs as Uber is illegal here. I walk anywhere that's less than 1km, taxi anywhere more than that. Public transit is too rough and/or crowded for me.

As per usual, Perfection wins the thread.

Singapore has pretty good public transport and requires people to obtain a license to have the right to own a car, which can cost you a cool $50,000. I wouldn't ever waste so much for a car in a city state. And it is far more relaxing to take buses and subways.

Goddammit Perfection

My trusty bicycle or the subway, or walking.

Feet & subway primarily; bike & city buses a lot, too.

I kind of envy people who can take a ferry a lot. Star Ferry was a highlight of my trip to Hong Kong, even though the subway was better in some ways, just 'cause I thought it was cool. Maybe the novelty would wear off after a while. There are some commuter ferries around here, but they don't really go anywhere I need to go.

Ok, but I gotta warn you about the stick shift.

As someone who uses ferries a lot, I'd much rather there be a metro there instead.

Personal automobile unless I'm going to the airport, then uber.

Mostly I've cycled around, but lately it's felt to much of a bother, so I usually just walk. To get to Oslo I take the train
