If You Don't Want To Be Bullied, Leave Your MLP Bag At Home

But i used to get the crap beaten out of me because i took pokemon cards to school and that was nerdy and weird. This is no difference.

Really? My schools were obsessed with Pokemon cards. I went to a state comprehensive.

Anyway, your posts are clear. You are glad this little man is experiencing this bullying. You try and legitimise it by saying he will evolve into some woman hating, fedora wearing, libertarian. Obviously, in your mind these people deserve ridicule and hate.

useless everybody!

You seem to be reading something into my words that weren't meant or intended. You are entitled to do so, but i just wanted to let you know you are wrong! :goodjob:

Also like i said, as if you could less about the person in question, just another excuse for you to sling mud at me, isn't it.

Useless isn't glad the kid is being bullied he's just not sympathetic to the behavior the bullies targeted.

Reality is, if it wasn't the MLP bag he'd be picked on for something else. Expecting logic from bullies is fruitless and they always single someone out.

That's not me defending or excusing it. Even when i abandoned Pokemon, they still found reasons, throughout school and highschool.

There's a difference between getting bullied because you have ginger hair, different skin colour, different religious beliefs, have a disability etc and because you play Pokemon or yugioh or you like anime or are an open brony.

Jesus i thought that be obvious but apparently not

My school was also really into Pokemon haha.

Anyways, the brony fandom isn't the point of this thread, so to bring it up independently for the sole purpose of attacking it is just weird. However, the main problem is making fun of a child. Everyone on here should be mature enough to handle having their interests criticized. However, what I find to be in very poor taste is to make fun of a 9-year-old boy, especially one who was bullied.

@Useless, there is a difference but it's not as great as you might argue.

Indeed. It is clear what useless has done. He has openly attacked this little man. He is a fedora wearing, libertarian, woman hater in the making. That makes you fair game in useless-world even if you're only nine years old.

Bully gunna bully.

Humbug now you're just trolling. Although in a kermit voice pretty much everything you write reads hilariously.

Edit: Nah not worth it.

It's pretty obvious to everyone who isn't being intentionally thick about it. Bottom line is that banning him from bringing his lunchbox or w/e isn't good. But if you were this kids friend what advice would you give him? You'd tell him to stop taking the pony lunchbox to school, it's just making yourself intentionally vulnerable to it. Kids are mean to each other, such is the natural order of things and we can't (and shouldn't) really eradicate it.

Did they get the idea from this forum that moved the MLP crowd to a safe haven for their own protection?

I thought it was more of a containment board? To keep from polluting the rest of the site...

Where did i say he deserved it? Please stop making false accusations.

I was making a reference to how these sub-cultures overlap, die-hard atheists, bronies, fedora-wearers, libertarians etc.

It's a joke, Just like on top gear!

WTH??

Granted, I had never heard of MLP or bronies before reading about it on CFC, but it seems like a really effeminate subculture (it's a show for young girls!!). How would that make him morph to a women-hater? The opposite would make more sense.

It's not obvious to me. At least not for religious beliefs or, for that matter, sexuality. Both of those can be hidden as well as being a brony. So under your logic being bullied for being brony is the same as being bullied for being a muslim or gay.

Change pokemon cards to guns
Bully problem SOLVED.

I think not bringing a my little pony bag to school for a nine year old boy is a good idea.

It makes me wonder what his father is thinking, obviously his mother does not understand as she was never a boy. It would be like wearing a dress to school, its not going to end well.

In which Internet social justice crusaders ignore the social injustice of a 9-year-old being bullied because he belongs to an unpopular Internet subculture. Also, gender binary fanaticism.

Who here is an internet social justice crusader? Certainly not me:lol:

Why couldn't they be cool leftists ghettoizing MLP like CFC did?

This.

I read the article and did not see any mention of the boy's father. Where is the boy's father to be found?

Obviously the mother does not understand, but it has nothing to do with never having been a boy. I can ask any mother of boys that I know, and expect her to clearly understand the situation. This is a departure between a utopia where everybody is politically correct, and what really happens in there.

It does make me think of what I got teased about as a kid, and the things my generation of kids teased the next generation of kids about.

I don't think anything i said was homophobic.
Still, this event is one of those things where the world is harsh and uncompromising. Sometimes it is better to adapt and change yourself than change the world. One is possible the other isn't.

Do MLP in private. He will feel better.

Great job! The terrorists win!

You will be assimilated conform. Resistance is futile.

Oh, and while this post I'm quoting may not be explicitly homophobic, it most certainly condones homophobia.

The school was ridiculous to ban it, just like that stupid California one was to ban the US flag because people bullied those who wore it. Banning the item that people want to bully others over is not the answer. Punish the bully, not the innocent victim.

This is the right answer.

Did they get the idea from this forum that moved the MLP crowd to a safe haven for their own protection?

Mind elaborating on that?

The thing I like most about this thread is that CFC more or less did the same thing years ago.

Oh man, I feel like I missed something important here.
