Unless you're the 1% you'll never save enough. I'd say, spend money now on things you won't be able to do for the next couple of years. My wife and I went to France while she was pregnant because we knew we'd be unable to do that for several years in the future.

Update:

She decided to show up 2 weeks early. Or anyways, someone made that decision. So I officially became a dad on July 16.
